well with that being said then those 6 sec 4 cyliders have way more potential tha the 6? you are an idiot. what type of engine is the fastest you ask? well smart guy, last time i checked all the top classes ie nascar, winston cup, irl, trophy truck, f1, sprint, dirt track, nhra, ihra, nmra, damn i think all of them run v8's. and for you guys that are into haretage what do you think about the 4cyl muffstains?

Ok listen buddy V6's arnt Female cars. I own one myself. V6's can be turned into a Mans car which is what im doing. For some people modding cars is a hobby. They dont care about speed there just in it for the fun. Others or poor like my and cant afford the insurance and the price of a Gt so they go for the next best thing which is the V6. I am totally sastisfied with my car and wouldnt trade it for a GT. Im proud of what ive done to my V6. My next may just end up being another V6 mustang becasue of cost. Whats the point of even have a GT if dont even take it to the track etc. For me its all about if the car looks good or not. :nunu:

lets see...xlr8r if u were a real mustang enthuisiest then you shouldnt have a problem with V6 mustangs...and a person who owns a V6 that wants to race a GT might just do it for shits a giggles...why do you flame on them?

In reality, your opinion is valid....to a point. In any case, from a financial point of view, modding a car is nearly ALWAYS a bad idea no matter which one you own.

look im not saying that they dont make horse power, you can make anything fast. a v6 is still a v6 and still gay. wow 380 hp thats alot unless you go to a turbo buick forum. for the money (which is what you all seem to be concerned about) a v8 produces way more power, there is way more technology in the modern v8 than v6's. i understand you guys being defensive. im not trashing your work you put into them. most of your guys' cars look really good. this started about people anyway. im tired of people acting like all the ricers thinking thier cars is fast when its really not. is this a smack talk forum? i am sensing some hostility? im sorry if i look at v6s like everybody on here looks at a civic

greg my favorite car was my 95 stang, but as technology advances things get better. no im not saying that a v6 is better than a 5.0, but it is a more efficiant engine. yes it produces more hp, but think for a sec on how long ago the fox and sn 95 were. more than ten years. the 302 has been around since the 60s, it was time for something better. the 4.6. so as the v8 evolved so did the v6s. its a good thing. but its still a v6

the 5.0 was replaced for something better?

In 96 ford dropped the 281SOHC into the GT. They continued to use this engine until 99 when they introduced better power improved heads...

But the 95 OHV302 made more TQ similar HP and weighed less then the SOHC281! This is better?

V6s... as far as my knowledge are OHV up to 04 (not sure on the DEW98/S197s)

and you forget that the V6 is the sole reason that they mustang is on the road...

6 thousand dollar difference..drop twin turbos in and say goodbye to that GT..

Oh..tell my buddy that 6ers suck.. he ran a GT this weekend and beat it..

As far as a honda being a ricer... this has been discussed but when you roll to the track and get whipped by a honda that doesn't have a huge fart can on it..then call it a ricer... lol...

Oh and I beleive in some of those formula and other race cars..they use a bigger engine then a v8... something like...v10/v12 ...regardless you're comparing a street engine to a engine that shoots 12 foot flames when it takes off..

I wouldn't be suprised if some of those 6ers that pulled up next to you and reved would actually whip you..sometimes its not ignorance..its knowing that they could bend you over like a school girl

those engines are a large bore but a VERY short stroke...

they are designed to run high HP @ high RPMS for short fast acceleration bursts...

yes the mod motoers are better than the old push rod types. they are more efficient in the way they make power. ie. no push rods, alot less valvetrain defelction. and it even evolved to wear the pi heads and intake, a big improvement. then came the 3 valve, that is a killer engine. 5500 can get you a procharger with 575rwhp. lets see what you get when you do that to a 5.0 about 475rwhp. now push rods are not bad of an engine there is so much in the aftermarket for them you can build them however you want. again im not saying you cant make power with a 6 or that they arent that fast, yes there are some out there that are crazy fast. i understand the reason why their made, you have to have production numbers, i know. SnTBakosFinest do you honestly believe that a gt cost 22,000 or even a 6 that costs 16,000. proposterous. clearly you live in candy land or extremly high inflation.
