Jesus Sandals
Ok so it has come to my attention that basically any kind of flip-flop is considered a Jesus sandal. What the hell do you people wear with shorts? Your big white Nike's with ankle socks? Sure for running but for everyday use in Florida you look like a damn idiot wearing anything else.
I would bet that 90% of people in Pensacola wear them on a regular basis. Maybe things are different for you snow birds but get with it...some of us live in Florida and own more flip-flops than board shorts. So please inform me/us what you wear with shorts since some of us are so out of style with our sandals. Oh and post pics of them on your feet so we can all laugh it up. |
Thats all I wore when I lived in Sarasota lol. Shoes were to hot.

I wear flipflops around the house and on weekends, and DVS shoes with the cutoff socks for everyday use..

how the hell do you drive your car with flipflops? i never wear flipflops out because I cant drive with them on.

Yep, I'm one of the white shoes and actually footie socks (can't see the sock when my shoes are on). THe only time I wear sandals/flip flops are when I am in Florida on vacation! If that helps....

Sandals are not big in Detroit but i see guys wearing them in the summer months(three at the most). I notice they were a lot of hurraches. Sandals and flip flops are cool but i have toes like corn chips so they are a no no for me.

its florida . . i wear flip flops year 'round. I wear flip flops with pants, shorts everywere but to work.
oh and for the record, jesus sandals are the ones with the straps, not flip flops |

I gotta put it down for the Jesus Sandals Before i moved down to FL i never owned a pair, now I own 3... it's to the point where i wear different once for different weather... LoL

I see there being two different kinds of sandal.
The classic Jerusalem Cruiser which would have an ankle strap and be made of (or appear to be made of) some sort of naturally occurring fibre and/or leather with what should be a useful tread pattern or natural leather sole. These are commonly worn by hippies, lesbians and those living in Georgia, Florida, Alabama, S. Carolina and the tropics. These are the upper crust of lower end shoes. The Trailer-Park Wing-Tip, also commonly called a Flip-Flop. These come in garish colors, have no ankle strap (meaning you can't run very fast from the tornado which has doubtlessly targeted your tailer), and make a characteristic sound which notifies onlookers of the wearers steadily decreasing IQ and limited chances for survival from any oncoming calamity. The soles are about as durable as packing foam and usually have no usefull tread pattern. Give these to your friends before you all attempt to escape from the persuing animal, then you'll be assured of being the fastest and least eaten member of your party. |
