Default after Market Hoods

for all you who have the after market hoods on your mustangs. should i be able to put my stock latch and hinges on the hood? im not sure if the hood im getting comes with the latch and hinges, or atleast yet.

btw its a 00 cobra R hood.

yes you use stock latches and hinges. the hood should be a direct bolt on replacement. shouldnt need any mods except letting a fender out or something if needed to get everything to line up

how important is it to blend the hood with the fender? i went to one place and said that i didnt need to and the other place said they would.

You can use the stock hinges, the only thing that anyone ever has problem with is adjusting the height of the hood to line up with the fenders correctly, that takes time or someone that knows what they're doing. And in my case, my engine melted some spots on my hood, so look out for that too.

How faded is yer paint?

if yer paint is in great shape then you might be able to get away without it. Black is one of the easiest colors to do without.

pretty much i would worry more about finding a good paint guy who can match the paint well enough that you dont need to blend and reclear the fenders.

yeah my paint is in excellent shape, spent most of its time in the garage. Im taking the hood in tomorrow to get it painted and installed.
