Question Pypes 409 Stainless Steel Off-Road X-pipe (96-98 GT)

I am looking to buy and x-pipe for my 97 automatic GT and i was wondering if anyone had any experience with this pipe and know if it would fit an automatic or if anyone has anything that may be better for about the same price. Also how much of a difference is there in loudness between and off-road x-pipe and a high flow catted one? THanks Kyle

Yeah but we don't have emissions testing in Alabama so it's all good.

I have the pypes 409 stainless O/R X with a magnaflow magnapack cat-back and it sounds awesome. I would highly recomend this setup. As far as passing inspection.....NC laws dont allow it

But thats not stoping me

emission laws don't stop half the people on this board from running a o/r pipe.
but a o/r pipe is louder than a catted, but if you went catted you wouldn't loose any performance because of the high flows now a days. but for cheap and nice sound can't beat o/r

all mid pipes (x and h-pipes) when using shorty or stock manifolds will fit auto or stick cars with any mod motor 2v or 4v (96-04 cars).

Like they said off road is louder and flows a few poines more then catted.
