Default Do Mustangs Run in Your Family?

Just curious. I'm the first to own a mustang, but Fords have always been in my family.

List all the mustangs your family had, or have!

Me - Fords (8 Mustangs, 1 bronco II, Sport Trac and a '78 Celica GT)

Brother - Chevys (Camaros, corvettes, and TAs and yes, he had a mullet for a longtime, now has a F150 and spikey hair)

Sister - Pontiacs (Bonnevilles and Grand Prixs)

Mom - Econo cars (Chevettes, Escorts, Saturns)

Dad - Oldsmobile, Cadilacs, Chryslers

Can't really say my family has been loyal to any particular car company other than mostly American made vehicles.

My pops had about 5 Torino's. A couple Torino GT's, a couple Gran Torinos, and one regular Torino.

my granddad had a 1969 red I6 stang 4spd (or was it 3?). he gave that to my mom then it was given to my uncle. granddad and uncle swapped out that ol straight 6 for a 351w...that was too big for the bay (he said he couldnt even change the plugs)...so he settled for a 302...then my uncle gave it back to my granddad...he kept it for the longest time but sold it for some reason and now he kicks himself in the *** for doing so. Granddad now has a F150 and a Focus. Uncle also has an F150 with...get this...250k+ miles on it. My mom, well she has an escalade now...so yea my granddad, mom, and uncle were/are ford people.

my dad on the other hand was the other way...he had a 1970 GTO, 400hp...he said it was a beast. But he never got into it...he sold it and went luxury from there on...he now has a 2003 Mercedes S430 and a stupid little 1995 BMW 325ci..he is now finally selling his BMW for a newer better looking one.

I bleed ford blue hangin out with my granddad all the time wears off!

My dad will buy nothing but American.
For some reason before I got my stang, he was gonna get me an s2000. We went and looked at it, and everything.

Dad: Had a Buick GS when he was in HS, totalled that on the highway, but since I was born he has always had his shitty ford taurus. I believe in 05 he switched to the Ford 500, very nice car.
He also had an 01 vert triple black vette. Sold that in 03, then the day before I went on Spring break last year he bought an 06 black c6 vette, most amazing car ever.

Mom: my dad has always gotten her expeditions, she had an 03, now an 05 eddie bauer edition. Pretty soon shes gonna be switching to the cady srx, or some benz.

About a month and a half ago, my dad just woke me up in the morning, wouldn't tell me where we were going, and we ended up at the ford dealership. He had my 05 vert stang all picked out. I love it.

Uhh..

My dad and I have been ford guys for the most part...

Dad had:

Old Ranchero
Escort
3 F150s

I've had..

79 Ford Bronco - 4spd, 351 in it drove it till I had a heat stroke last summer, the bronco had no air conditioning, and last summer we went 100 degrees for 30 days straight.

02 v6, which I've still got.

07 F250 Diesel, which I had, till I got fired =D

Yeah, my dad had a bunch of Torinos, a bunch of F-150's, then recently went down a cheap road, and for about 10 years drove a P.O.S Ford Taurus wagon that he loved for some reason. It finally broke down so he decided to go buy an 07 F-150, Black, with chrome bumpers, and trim.

I'm like Synister, not much Ford background, and this is the families 1st 'stang. An F150 and a Bronco II were once my dad's and my mom once had a Aerostar van. Dad test drove a '91 5.0 LX 5spd just before I turned 16, but instead got a Grand Am that became mine. I did once have the Mustang "replacement", a '93 Probe GT 5spd, but that car was junk. After it, I Mustang shopped, but instead bought my 1st f-body, a '93 Formula. Couldn't resist the raw power, and haven't left the General's army since. Like the sig says, the Mustang in the family is the girl's car . I like her fox though, and happy to have it sit beside my T/A and her daily driver(Pontiac Sunfire) in the driveway.

Dad had a '69 Mach when I was a wee one, now he has an '05 GT (couldn't resist the retro styling I guess)

I had:
'71 Chevelle w/ 350
'84 Plymouth Laser (dog)
'67 Mustang Cp w/ 289 - another 289 and finally a 302
'87 Nissan 200SX (college)
'86 Bronco II
'90 LX notch 5.0 ATI Procharger
'86 GT convertible
'67 Cp w/ Straight 6 (had big plans on resto-mod)
'88 GT stripped down racer
Got out of the game for awhile with a 300M and Nissan Frontier

Now I'm back with the '02 GT, and next month I pick up the '95 GT Convertible (that needs some work but is driveable) Still not sure what direction that project will go.

I'm the only one with a mustang in my family.

My whole family is turning Toyota. My parents and 2 Uncles have 2007 Tundras, my brother just bought a 2007 Camry, and my sister has a 1994 Paseo.

My parents also have a dodge ram van and a mercury sable for DDs. They all know which ones look the best though since my mustang and the truck take up the garage

o and i have a neon for a DD
