Electric turbo kit haha.. 100$. Do you think this would actually do anything verse a K&N intake? I mean it is forcing air into the engine like a turbo is suppose to but whats your thoughts besides thinking of ricers.

Was looking at their website, its basically a kid who wanted to speed up his ricer so he strapped a vacuum onto his intake. haha

So much for cheap power adders. ;/

I dont think the idea is completly ludacris though, but im sure that for a 100 bucks yer getting what yer paying for.

I have always wondered about some sort of an electric turbine setup. Large fan in front, smaller and smaller fans kind of like a jet and then blowing it in the engine. Run something like that electrically, i suppose it could work.

Hell, im sure everyone here has seen that video of the Honda on the dyno, got like, 120hp. Then they put a leaf blower into the intake and ran it again and i think it picked up 25-30hp. i about **** myself when they started spraying nitrous at the side of the leaf blower. lol....

anyways
compressed air is compressed air.

i just dont think yer gonna get enough electrical juice out of a car to run a fan strong enough to create any decent boost.

True, I wish it was possible because I would buy it in a heart beat. lol

I would agree with Jack but remember its not compressing the air, its ramming it (if thats a word lol). The leaf blower and that dinky little electric fan arent made to compress air. I would say get a ram air intake and be done with it.

my guess would be it's taking hp from ur engine...maybe not on a 4cyl, but on a v8 prolly..if the engine is sucking in more air then the lil....idk wtf to call it...is pushing in, it's restricting the air flow, i couldn't see some little electric fan pushing even what a naturally aspirated v8 needs...just my thinking, could be wrong...

my friend actually bought one of these for his 2005 neon and payed like $180 for it and it sucks *****, he got maybe 15-20 hp tops. he was mad because with that money he could have gotton something worth while.. but even on a 4clynder engine that suck *****, and arn't worth any money

There is no way that thing will ever push enough air to even bring the engine out of vaccum. Its pure bullshit and i bet it hurts power being an obstruction in the intake path more then anything.
