Default Nitrous Install Price???

Anybody want to share what they paid to get their nitrous kits installed? I'm trying to get a dry one installed w/ purge.

My advice would be to install it yourself its very easy to do. if you can run some lines, do some minor wiring, and mount a bottle and nitrous brackets you can install a nitrous kit.

I have heard of people paying 200-300bucks for installs.

How long would it take to install it? And would I need any extra tools?

I purchased the kit from Dyno Tune Nitrous

Do it yourself and get the satisfaction of saying you did. Also this is also a good time to figure out the best places to wire things so if something doesnt work right you'll know exactly where everything is. You shouldnt need any extra tools other than a wire crimper/cutter and some basic hand tools other than mounting the bottle brackets.

Too bad you aren't in NC. These guys have done it a million times and they still charge 200 bucks. However, they do have an in house dyno for all your one stop shopping needs. I agree with the other guys that say you should do it yourself, not only for the pride factor, but so you'll know where things are if something goes apesh*t. On the other hand, if you find a place that will do it for the same or cheaper AND they have an in-house dyno, I'd say it wouldn't hurt. Especially if wiring isn't your specialty and the shop has installed kits often in the past. I'm sure there's a handful of guys here that have installed kits themselves that would give you any tips in the event you run into trouble. my $.02

Well I have a tune on my car and the timing is adjusted. So do I need to retune my car afterwards?

I am so over the whole "I feel great because I did it myself" routine. Hell, I work hard for my money and if I want to pay someone to do something, then that makes me feel good - lol

As to installing nitrous, however, I think doing it yourself is important so you know how things work.

You would need a nitrous tune for the car.
