Default Long tube headers with standard xpipe?

Thinking about adding long tube headers. Novice that I am, I bought a bbk x pipe for the stock mainfolds. What to do? Will shorty headers be any where near the hp gain?

If you bought a BBK x-pipe and want to use LT headers down the road it will not work. You will have to purchase a bbk shorty x pipe catted or offroad. either will work. The shop that installed my shorty's told me that shorty headers are a waste of money and you see no gains.

i have shorties on mine and noticed a difference. while its not much, most dynos will give you a gain of 10 if you have supporting mods already.

Dont see a point in either installing shorties yourself, or paying for them to be installed. If you're going to do it, then get LT's. But like White said, youll have to get a new midpipe for long tube headers.

Before you buy a cheap set like that, make sure youve talked to people that have installed them before so you know how well they fit. Also, check all the welds before installing.

just ask the muffler shop to modify your current X, they'll make it fit
