Well i was looking at K&Nfilters.com and i don't really understand why when i do a vehicle search a K&N CAI shows up for a 2004 3.8L mustang but when i search for my car a 2004 3.9L it none show up. Can i just use the 3.8L one anyway or is the tubing going to be a different size?

 

They should all be the same.

At some pint, the 3.8 became a 3.9, but they are the same motor for the most part.
