Yeah i was watching it when they were bidding on it. It broke the all time record. Last years record was 4 million on the future bus. Simply amazing

Its sweet but imo not worth even close to 5.5 million. Even if I had that much $$ I wouldnt buy it for that.

its a lightweight twin supercharged 427 that weighs nothing and is the ONLY one in existance. Its sole purpose was to be beat on and go fast.

 

That car is amazing. I was glad to see shelby get the world record for the barrett auction, the car defenitly is worth every penny

 

To bad it will never go fast again and be lucky if its even driven again but its a piece of history

 

I'd love to see a breakdown of that motor. Just to see the components used. Think you can find any specs on it for us. Just thinking about makes me want to get it on a dyno just to see the powerband on that thing.
