Default Went to the track tonight!

Went to the 1/8th mile track tonight and made like 12 runs. It was crazy! The track was hooking good off the line, but I got mad wheelspin halfway down the track. My clutch was slipping really bad into 2nd gear. I just had to let out of it like 5 times just because it wouldnt grab. Then a couple runs I blew the tires away at the line or they started spinning down the track. It almost got real sideways on me towards the finish. I got about 5 decent runs in. There was still a little clutch slippage, but it made it down the track at least.

I ran alot of cars. I only got a few good runs in though. There was a 98 cobra with a good cam, full exhaust, slicks and skinnies. He got the jump on me but I passed him down the track and had him by about 2 cars. clutch still slipping...

I pulled up next to an 03 cobra vert annerversary. It had exhaust and a K&N intake from all I could see. I guess maybe it had a tune. He was on street tires and so was I. When we pulled into the lanes I just brushed the tires off and no burnout. Hes over there doing a crazy john force burnout then blasts across the line. It was a badass race. At the line I was holding my revs and the centri was whistling crazy loud. The light turns green and I had to peddle it out of the hole. His eaton sounded sweet! Seems like he was having a lil traction problems too cause we hooked up at the same time. I pulled on him all the way down the track. I think I had him by 2-3 cars! After we were done he said he got wheelhop halfway down track, but my clutch was slipping also!

Then I ran some 96-98 mustang GT with alot of mods done to it. I dont know what it had but this was my best run and I only had him by like 1-2 cars. I got squirly halfway down the track or it could have been faster. This was at "The Hill". At Beech Bend I can usually cut like .2 seconds faster in the 1/8th.

RT: .3130
60ft: 2.0701
1/8th ET:8.48
1/8th MPH: 86.26 Clutch slipping!

Well, I'm thinkin on going and I'll have a couple buddies with their stangs. Hey Christie, what time you work this Sat? You know you wanna go. *cough*CALL IN TO WORK*cough*

Hey wnracing, it probably costs $10-15....not sure cause the times I've been up there this year was for Corral Day and NMRA.

Any word on the forecast for Sat. in KY? I'd hate like hell to make the 5.5 hour trip down there and get rained out. I have not raced my car since June, my new MT drag radials are just screaming to be abused and it would be fun to whoop Jay's sorry *** a couple of times.

Keep me informed if anyone plans a Spring meet. I'm in Evansville, IN and wouldn't mind a little road trip in the spring. Around a two hour drive for me I believe.
