Need Ideas...

Ok, I wanna do a 1 inch drop (c springs or DD sprangz) but most of you know my driveway situation. I wanna make sure I can make it up my drive way without removing the chin spoiler or the front end for that matter. Do any of you have any ideas how I can simulate the drop to see if I can make it. I know this is gonna sound gay, but I taped some toothpicks on my chin spoiler sticking1-1/3 inch down and took the car up the mountain to see if I'd snap any. It made it up without hitting any of em. I don't know how much it'll matter but I'm going with 17x9's up front with 40 series tires which are 5mm shorter than the stock 45 series. Any suggestion will be entertained.
Here's my enemy: |
Buy h&r sport springs, and re-cement your driveway farther at the base so its less of an incline. win-win situation.
|
I have thought of that but Cement = $$$$
|
Let some air out of he tires until it drops down one inch. You'll lower the whole car for the "test" so be careful.
|
Hmm, your driveway pwns you...
Youd only be able to get away with spring with a 1 inch drop from what I can see. I can tell you right now that mine wouldnt make it up that with my chin spoiler... even at an angle. |
and why cant you just park in the street like the red car?

my 1.5 / 2 in drop hit everything... my friends lincoln ls w/ a body kit and NO drop is worse... its just something ya gotta learn to live with... i garentee it will take you less than 10 times to perfect pullin in and out of your driveway when ya get springs... if ya angle ya should be fine... and as long as ya dont go 2" you should aslo be pretty cool... |
I'm sorry, did you say Lincoln LS with a body kit?
BBBWAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! |

The drop is similar to c springs. I think if I don't go at least and inch, it won't be worth dropping it. I'm sure it would handle better tho. I'll have to research it further...
