Fixing old chrome/ polished metal
I am helping my dad with a "restoration" project (meaning get it running) for a 70 olds cutlass. Well the rims went to hell because the car is from Seattle so my dad tasked me with redoing them because I am the detail orientated one.
I usually use Masters Formula metal polish because it is really easy to get a good shine but it wasn't cutting it. So instead of using a microfiber I used 0000 steel wool with it and it took me 1/4 of the time to get the blemishes out of the center caps. I know a lot of people on here don't do really old projects like that but if you have trouble with one try it, it was insanely easy. |
Ohh great I haven't use them but I heard that they are for the woody things can we use them also on aluminium? What is the stuff of your project wheels where you use the 0000 steel wool . Because I want to try them on my metal wheels also. because they are looking some rubbish.
