Ideas...
I've bought some parts this winter. Mainly just appearance stuff.
Sitting in my room, I have: -H&R Super Sports -M/M Caster Camber Plates -GT Rear Bumper (needs to be painted. its black right now) After I get all that stuff put on, I was going to order '03 Cobra side skirts & painted mirrors. Now... my real question: Do you think I should get the '03 Cobra front bumper also? I've really been thinking about it lately. Would it flow with the GT hood? or should the Terminator hood be next on the list too? Basically just wanting some ideas from you guys... Have any of you who ditched the V6/GT front missed it? I'm not a fan of putting the 03/04 bumper on a non cobra car. I don't think it's a bad looking bumper, kinda big and heavy for the rest of the car in comparison. I think the 99/01 Cobra bumper is a great bumper. I haven't been able to find a place that will sale one for less than $500, unpainted though. I don't think a whole lot is wrong with the stock bumper either, just harder to run brake ducts in my case. Basically, I'm not a fan of 'clones', just doesn't feel right to me. I wouldn't want my car to look like a 03/04 cobra unless I was faster than one.

I think you'll be happy the way it is once you install your mods, although i dont like using GT bumpers cause i like to run turn downs.

I personally really like the Roush "Stage 2" front. I would love to have that on my car personally.
Side note: what size rims do you have? |

Not the answer you'll be looking to get but I think your car looks good the way it is now. A wee drop and you're there.

I've seen a few threads on other forums about how to make the hood scoop functional. It wouldn't do anything performance wise... but still sounds like a cool project to keep me entertained until I have enough cash for the cobra side skirts. http://motortalkblog.com/?p=614 |

And I know exactly what you mean... everytime I wash my car, water gets traped behind the hoodscoop grille, underneath the grille delete bottom piece, and under the trunk lid. lol |

*Disclaimer* If you do this and you damage the car then tough titty :smokin: Took the heat cover off and removed it. This was underneath. http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...eeko/hood1.jpg Took the honeycomb `fake grille` from the scoop cover and drilled out every hole then put it back in. http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...eeko/hood2.jpg Drilled a hole in the corner of the hood blanked panel and used a jigsaw to cut out the panel piece. Used a file to smooth off and make perfect. http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...eeko/hood3.jpg This is the view through the cut out. Straight onto my plenum. http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...eeko/hood4.jpg Cut out the appropriate heat space in heat shield/sound deadening material to allow air in/heat out. Taped up with correct heat proof alloy tape. http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...eeko/hood5.jpg Same tape was applied round edges of cut out and new modified hood scoop added before heat/sound proofing under hood. Lifted hood to check for dead insects on my plenum. None. BUT. Plenum wasn`t roasting hot like it normally was so that can`t be a bad thing. Also when parked it allows heat out. Its NOT a shaker , nor will it be but its better than people asking why its on there for fuck all. A drop of tigerseal as well as the bolts wouldn`t be a bad idea and work as a belt and braces approach to any possible scoop lift. |

Sweet i like it. Wish i had some time to do it...:mad: well good thing none of my friends know jack shit about how their car gets them from A-B, except for one and he has the base model impreza so he can suck it. so for now i will live with the shortcuts that ford took to make mustang took better and function worse. :smokin:
