Best HID Light kit
 

Hey guys its been awhile since I was last here but I have recently been thinking about getting some HID's and was wondering who has the most complete kit available for a good price? I looked at the normal site American and Stangmods etc. Any others that may be better or more complete?

If you wanna wait a bit, i can tlel you the quality of them when i get my set. But hes a local member, running his own small buisness, so i'd give him your money before i would anyone else.

I have the HID Headlights and Fogs and they are great from spike!

Does DDM make good solid products? If so im about to order some right now for that price. But dont HIDs have set wattage? DDM has a choice, 35 or 55W. Also are 5ks kinda yellowish? Im looking for the most white light.

Too bad half of the people that put in HIDs are just blinding people. Save some money and just angle your lights up higher.

An HID does not work without a lens and projector built for it. All you're doing is shining a light higher when you put it into a halogen housing.

But, if I were to buy some it'd be from Spike.

Correction, I've angled my lights up and it makes night vision worse because you cant see up close with your high beams. But low beams are considerably better.

Ok I will take a look at sipkes stuff, are the directions very good and easy to follow?

Most of them are pretty simple to install. You'd have to ask Dustin about his kits and if they come with instructions, if they don't I'm sure he would be able to help.

There are all kinds of tutorials online about installing them and they're not complicated at all, I'd say in most cases a 2-3 out of 10 on the difficulty scale.

I too have Dustin's HID kit, 6000K hi/lo. I don't think the instructions were easy to follow, I had to read through them several times, but there are plenty of resources to help. AmericanMuscle has a install guide video. The components are high quality. I've been very happy with mine.

I went by the AM guide as well, and cross ref with what came with it. I have hi/low and fogs as of last week too.

Very nice at night, about blinded myself the other night when I was behind a truck and chrome bumper was reflecting the light back at me!

I have kits and I like them. If you aim your headlights correctly you won't blind people. I am in the process of making my own directions that are basically a 8 step process instead of the ones that come with the kit and are kinda stupid.

But generally its very simple. Just install bulbs, mount the ballast where you want them, and plug in some connections and that is about it. The Hi/Lo kits have an extra power and ground wire that needs to be on the battery, but is about it. Hardest part is figuring out where you want all of it to go so it looks nice and clean. Rest is super easy. I am out right now, but I have a nice sized shipment coming in of 9007 bulb Hi/lo kits.

If you want 9007 low beam only I have tons of those. $85 shipped with life time warranty. Plus I promise not to steal your money and send it to Kazakhstan.

Just recieved and installed my HID kit today. Took maybe 2 hours. But I like to take my time.

No instructions were included but it was simple.

My blue connector wasnt connected, if your alls is the same it goes. RED, BLACK, WHITE from LEFT to RIGHT.

If you switch the red and white your hi and lo beams will be switched backwards.

The bulbs are also sturdy, while fighting to get the bulb to lock in, it slipped out and smacked into the housing, but works fine! CANT WAIT FOR IT TOGET DARK FOR ONCE!

I loved the first test drive with them at night and the visibility increase was amazing, the road signs and road stripes looked really really cool.:p

I have my little s10. and I ususally only drive it at night, because it has no AC, GREAT headlights, and it hits bugs better than my car.

Hopefully these HID's work well even though my housings are smoked.

Its weird now driving a car that doesnt emit the bright white lighting like the HIDs do!

thats for sure, i drove my gf's tiburon and the color of light is just so yellow and weak, love my HID's.

They are just as good as ANY HID light, i have had mine for over a year, still work with bright light! i went 10,000K, cheap too...

dont give in to the overpriced kits

or instead of a kit, you can just get HID Bulbs to replace your stock ones. LoL
