I have heard from many sources that the directions are terrible, the hardware included doesn't fit or missing.

I have just ordered this product, and i was wondering from anyone who has installed one which items i should purchase before hand and maybe tips on how to install it easier than the given instructions!

I don't have a V6, I have a GT with the black billet grille. I'm assuming the installation is quite similar.

The directions aren't terrible, but they definitely leave something to be desired. My grilles arrived with every piece and every piece of hardware. I wasn't missing anything. The hardware also fit just fine. If anything, the screws were too long. But better too long than too short.

1) You WILL need someone to help you. It helped me to have a second set of hands and eyes to make sure everything was centered and just right.

2) If your car isn't lowered too much and you aren't a larger person, you should be able to reach the underside of the car to install the lower grille without lifting the car. You shouldn't need a drill for the underside. It is held on by 4 "J" hooks on the GT model and is probably the same on the V6.

3) For the upper grille, you might need to put some holes in the stock grille. If you do, don't bother with a drill. The stock grille is thin enough to just use the screw and screw it through the stock grille. I'm not sure of how many holes you will need... I had to have 4. If you have to put holes in the bottom of the grill, you will have to reach them through the underside of the car because there is not a lot of room to work with when the grille is on the car.

This is the best tip I can give you: Take the stock grille off the car and install the billet grille then. If I had to do it all over again, that's what I would do. It would have been much easier that way and not nearly as much hassle.

Edit: Also, make sure you wrap the first 2" of your screwdriver and whatever other tools you use with masking tape/electrical tape to prevent scratching the new grille while you are installing it.
