lol.

It's pretty easy dude...look in your owner's manual if you can't figure it out. Pop the hood, unplug the cord from the headlight bulb, twist plastic housing behind headlight bulb CCW ( I think, it's been a long time since I've had regular bulbs), pull bulb out, new one in, put cover behind it, twist clockwise, plug harness back in.

make sure not to touch the bulb itself either. You should be able to go to your local library and look at a chiltons/hayes manual

never said I was... and... never said I was...

and what you hear from me will not be BS... it will always be the truth.

Ill try and not help you in the future.. Ill use my knowledge for a person that might appreciate it. I wont waste the knowledge I have gained from being a car mechanic for the last 12 years on you any more.

I stand by what I said though...cant pop in a bulb? you have no business in a car.. get a bicycle. they arent as fast, but they dont have those uber pesky light bulbs to deal with.

Forums are for asking questions about things you don't know in hope for a reply by someone who does. Maybe the reason you're making fun of him is because....you don't know???

98wusstang 05-20-2009 01:07 PM

no, it is not that we are making fun of him personally. It is just such an oddball question, and not asked verry much. Lighten up, take a joke, laugh a little.

here is a video of a guy replacing one on a 99 v6:

SPITFIRE 05-20-2009 02:35 PM

I'm in a bitchy mood today so don't mind me...It's the sand in my vagina or something...I was joking about you not knowing...I figured someone with nearly 8000 posts has seen and done alot.

Allright bro, here it is. Yes like the other ass hat said this IS a super simple job. Im not gonna knock you for not knowing something. You came to the right place for answers. None of us were born knowing this.

Ok pop open the hood and look at the back side of your headlights. The back side should be black plastic with a big not in the center where the wire comes out. If you look at it closely you will be able to see that something disconnects right there. To disconnect it just twist it counter clockwise and the bulb connector and bulb and eveything comes out of the housing. Yank the old bulb out of the plug. I dont know if AM sent you any grease junk to stick in the bulb plug but if not you will wanna go get that from Auto Zone. It shouldnt be more than a buck or 3. Put a generous amount of that bulb grease junk into the plug and stick the bulb into it. Yes like the other guy said. . . . be sure not to touch the new bulb. Use a rag or towl or something is what I have done. Once the bulb is pluged in, just insert the bulb back into the headlight housing and twist it back. This job should take you about 2 mins per headlight and thats going on the long side cause your new to this. Its very simple bro. Good luck.
