Mach 1000

I've done quite a bit of searching and so far I've turned up nothing. Does anyone know where I can purchase a Mach 1000 sound system? apparently Classic Design Concepts sells an upgrade to the Mach 1000 from the Mach 460 (Which I currently have) but I can't find the link to buy it anywhere. Can some one help me out?

Why would you want it? You could probably get better quality aftermarket components for cheaper.

^^ +1

I had the mach 1000 in my stang, i loved it, but you could put in a far better aftermarket system for the same price.

I have the mach sound system(not 1000), I am just waiting on my new stereo to be installed, and I wont have any need for the one that is in it right now.

Ohh, well I'm currently serving in the military and I will only be home a few weeks in the summer. I was told that the Mach 1000 upgrade was basically a plug and play system while if any other aftermarket system was installed there would be alot of rewiring and most of if not all of the Mach system would have to be removed. If anyone has a audio system that is not Mach and installed relatively easy, let me know where I can get one.

I have the Mach1000 and I love it and see no reason to upgrade any part of it. Minus the head unit because I want something different.

Well, since the only difference between the 1000 and the 460 is the two subwoofers and added pitiful amps, you can just run with your current setup and add a subwoofer/amp and new head unit to it. You don't need to get rid of any part of your mach 460 except the headunit (unless you want to). When you buy a head unit from an aftermarket retailer like www.crutchfield.com they will supply you (for free) with all of the adapters and accessories you need to correctly wire your new head unit with the factory mach 460 wiring harness, it's just a splice in adapter that makes it plug and play, with that, a subwoofer and a decent aftermarket amplifier you will have a better system than the Mach 1000.

I have a Pioneer 6000UB headunit with all of my Mach speakers, and two rockford fosgate p2 10" woofers and a RF P4002 amplifier and it sounds amazing, the Mach 5x7" speakers and tweeters sound much clearer with the new head unit.

Nice! I have the Mach 460 and everything is still stock. I just sold my Dual 7" touch screen DVD that I had in my 01 Stang because I thought it would sound like shit unless I rewired everything.

aftermarket is the way to go, its not hard to wire up an amp and sub, just power, remote, ground, and rca's

King 04-09-2009 03:52 PM

hmm...I must have missed this thread. Anyway, welcome aboard the Kenwood DDX512 train, Becka. I too have that very dvd/nav screen and yes, it kicks some serious butt.

Becka 04-09-2009 10:07 PM

Yeah I love it hey since you have the same din, how would i go about setting up the Nav on it??do i have to pay per month for it?

King 04-09-2009 10:12 PM

No, but you have to get the Nav adapter for it which is like an addition $600-800 from car toys and then you have to mount the little nav signal box somewhere in the back. I was told you can mount them in the c-pillar, but I wouldn't do it.
