you cant just buy the 1's on AM, those are aftermarket replacements, so you have to have fog lights on the car already to install them. You would need a harness and a relay and the mounting bracket for the fogs, etc. i dont know if any v6's came from factory with fog lights(I've never seen any). but vmptuning makes a fog light kit

Deathdiesel 03-18-2009 03:34 PM

Yea i figured as much, just was using those as an example. And yikes 300 $ :( at the ford one

INtZ 03-18-2009 03:38 PM

yeah but that stangmods kit looks WAY more professional then the vmp kit, i dont know if its $150 more professional but the vmp kit is kinda ghetto. i didn't kno stangmods made a kit.
EDIT: its 300 for the clear lense kit but only 210 for the oem lense kit

Deathdiesel 03-18-2009 03:50 PM

Yea honestly that was my first thought lol. I figure if im gunna do it im gunna do it right ya know? Plus eventually im gunna smoke out or buy smoked headlights too.

SeanStang 03-18-2009 04:11 PM

What makes the vmp kit seem ghetto? It's a legit kit.

Cut out the 3 horizontal bars in the fog area for a cleaner look.

INtZ 03-18-2009 04:38 PM

IDK just doesn't look as nice. The VMP instructions make it look like it was DIY and not an aftermarket kit, not saying its a bad kit but looks kinda messy from the pics.

spike_africa 03-18-2009 04:42 PM

Don't speed $300 on fog lights that's retarded.

Switch 03-18-2009 04:52 PM

Buy the VMP tuning one.

+1 VMP tuning one is quite easy to install and Justin has A+ service. I would recommend them to anyone.

Deathdiesel 03-18-2009 09:44 PM

You HAVE to cut out the 3 bars
Youll also have to buy a harness to even have it fit in there... You see the two pieces that jut out at the top, right above the bars? Those are screw holes... Theres also a few holes under the fog light hole when the harness fits in perfectly.
Its a bit of a struggle getting all the bolts in with the bumper still attached, but it is possible.

Deathdiesel 03-24-2009 08:28 PM

id send it to a shop to do it, id just end up messing it up or somethin.

Do it yourself, how else are you going to learn how to do this stuff.

crzhrse 03-25-2009 05:30 PM

Go junkyard diving

Deathdiesel 03-25-2009 07:21 PM

Lol spike i managed to fuck up a shifter with 2 wires, if i tried this it would be one of those EPIC fail pics

PColav6 03-25-2009 07:50 PM

You can't have foglights.

Deathdiesel 03-25-2009 07:52 PM

Uum why not?

PColav6 03-25-2009 08:26 PM

Because you won't be able to torque the foglight lugs without messing up your bumper.

Wombozi17 03-25-2009 08:26 PM

because he said so. Sorry.

GT bumpers are made of stronger material. V6 bumper will shatter from the stress.

PColav6 03-25-2009 08:33 PM

That's why they put those horizontal bars in the V6 bumpers, structural support.

Wombozi17 03-25-2009 08:37 PM

how did you do it pcola?

PColav6 03-25-2009 08:40 PM

I had to make make reinforcement braces for the back side of my bumper, I have steel tubes bracing the bumper against the radiator support.

word...... I went to my local shop and had them fab up a bracket like PCola is talking about.

Ill have to get some pictures of it sometime. It was quite costly and time consuming.
