Passenger headlight (HID) doesn't come on often

I've had the HID kit from AM for about a year now, and a while back every so often, but now it's almost every time I turn on my lights, the passenger light won't come on, and I have to turn the head lights on/off about 20-30 times to get the passenger one on. I've checked the fuses and connections over and over and everything looks how it should, the passenger light just sometimes doesn't turn on and when it does it takes a lot longer than the driver's side light to brighten up. I know that the power first goes to the driver's bulb then to the passenger bulb since the passenger side wiring harness isn't used. Does anyone know what could be causing this? It's starting to get old.

Sounds like tha balast is going bad, can you hear it buzzing at all when the light doesn't turn on?

Well..1 HID light is brighter than 2silver star ultras. I can't even tell that 1 light is out unless I see the front of the car. Just worried about being pulled over TBH.

I'll check the ballasts

I'd think balast first, wouldn't the "bulb" just be dead without the igniter, I mean it would never turn on right?

yeah if the bulb is bad, it wont ever turn on...if the balast is bad it wont either, same with the igniter... but either of those can intermittently fail.

The ballast doesn't make any noise when the bulbs doesn't come on, but when the light does turn on it's much quieter than the driver's side ballast. Think it's going bad?

Yep. PM AMNick, I've seen them swap out balast's before.
