No HID Bulbs In Projector Assembly?

I have a few questions.
1. Why does the HID kit warn you not to use HID lamps in a projector headlight assembly?
2. Will HID lamps work with item number 42012?
3. Can I connect the fog light wire to the HID lamps to control them sepreatly from the standard lights?

I would like to have regular halogen bulbs so not to draw attention during regualr street driving but be able to turn on the HID's while driving backroads. I want to place the standard halogen light in the spot for the low / high beams but replace the inner turn signal with the HID lamp. Who needs two turn signals in the front anyways and the look goofy so close to the middle of the car anyways.

HID bulbs are generally too long to fit into projector housings and you can mess around with whatever wiring you want its just more work

Thank you for the information.

+1 they usually won't fit...and trying to get them to fit you can unwittingly damage the HIDs.

And they can also melt the projector housing because there isn't enough space to dissipate the heat generated.....
