smoked tailight cover question
 

are the ones on americanmuscle smoked or blackedout? beccause looking at some of the pictures theres some smoke and some blackedout ones. is there another site for these? also my friend told me that cops can pull u over for these and give u a hard time. is this true?

They claim that they are smoked, but what constitues being smoked or blacked-out can vary from brand to brand. I think that all the pictures are the same, just different lighting conditions, causing them to look different. With the ones on AM, you can take them off as you please and put them back on later. Also they look like a big plastic "cap". I have and prefer the ones made by Autobadges.com or Stangmods.com. They are adhesive and follow the curves and corners of the tailight and still looks like the stock tailight just darker. But you cannot take them off as you please like the ones on AM. It depends on what you'd want. You can get pulled over for your tailight being too dark, but I never have. I think you would be more likely to get pulled over if you have the ones from AM becuase you can tell very easily that something was done to cover up the tailight and make it darker, as where the adhesive ones from Autobadges and stangmods the average person would not even notice unless two Mustangs were side by side. They just think "Damn that Mustang looks good!", which is the point, you don't want one particular thing to stick out like a sore thumb.
