Black rims how the heck do i keep them clean!

OK I NEED HELP!!! I have a set of black bullit wheels but they collect dust really bad and i hate it can anyone help?

zigzagg321 02-13-2008 06:10 PM

isn't the dust black? lol.

anyway...usually when you are getting a lot of dust...more than normal it seems, cause it would take a month for my lighter colored wheels to get dirty from brake dust

try different brake pads.

stanger00 02-13-2008 06:14 PM

get different brake shoes. GOOGLE

Lances03SVT 02-13-2008 06:19 PM

Wax them!

JackThe Ripper 02-13-2008 06:21 PM

I have the cobra brake setup from AM, the pads they use dont seem to have any issues on black rims

if you drive your car at all any rim will get dirty, wash them once a week wax them so all you have to do is rince them off.

Hawks suck and are over priced if you ask me. Much better options out there.

smokin' joe 02-14-2008 08:20 PM

it's not brake dust that's gettin on them its just dust from the road and stanger newer mustangs have pads not shoes that would have been last seen on a fox body

Clean them up real good with P21s Gel, then put on a coat of SEALANT. Then wash them weekly with regular car soap and water.

PColav6 02-15-2008 07:12 PM

What kind of sealant would you recommend?

WaterDR 02-15-2008 07:25 PM

P21S makes them look great!
