Eh you should search but i'll express my opinion.
1. Bug and Tar Remover or Goo Gone. Found at your local auto parts store, or probably even a grocery store. 2. I use Invisible Glass. Works good. 3. My friend uses RaggTop cleaner. I don't know where you get it, probably online. Works good too. |
sry for not searching...and thx for ur answers.

1 - Bug and Tar cleaner and make sure you have a solid coat of wax up front.
2 - Stoners Invisible Glass |
1. Poorboys Bug Squash and Pinnacle safe scrub bug and tar pad. Must reapply wax/ sealant after using this.
2. Stoners. 3. http://www.autogeek.net/contopcleanp.html |
I wouldn't have picked at you for the no-search but I've seen this basic question answered a few times in recent weeks.
For road tar I use Ronsonol brand lighter fluid. It's used in Zippo lighters and instantly solvates tars, oils, glues and such. It's safe for paint and clear coats in my experience but test on a small sample area first. It comes in a 7" tall yellow bottle with blue writing. Make sure you use a good ammonia free detergent to clean it off or it'll leave a nasty oil smear that looks like azz. |
Just keep a "bug rag" in the car and wipe off the remains daily. Then you wont have to do such hardcore cleaning when you do a detailed cleaning of the car.

Thank you all for answers, now i gotta go buy some things :D
and uh, what kinda rag should i get for daily wipe offs? Microfiber or a shop towl or what? |
i used a blue shop rag, wet, and dont push too hard. put some water on the guts and good stuff first to loosen it up a bit. I know how the love bug juice is though, i like california, NO LOVE BUGS!!
