Best Tar/road Debris remover
 
Well, took the stang out of storage gave it the regular clean up and notice on my chrome exhaust tips I have specs of black tar it seems like all over, I used some mothers chrome polish but it just shined the chrome and didn't remove any of the tar or w/e it is.. does anyone know a good product to use that also wont damage the chrome?

You can use a clay bar and some bug/ tar remover.

does anyone know a good product that will take like tar specks and like road debris off of my exhaust tips? there 4 inch chrome Borla tips!! thanks..

You can try WD-40, dilute Purple Power, Amazing Roll Off, Poorboys Bug Squash, clay bar, and more http://www.autogeek.net/tarbug.html Then polish them up with Mothers aluminum polish, P21S polishing soap, or Duragloss metal polish.

lacquer thinner........and u will need little to no effort at all the shit basically falls off when u wipe it:silvercup:

didnt read that they are chrome.....mine are stainless steel so i duno if its a good idea or not on chrome prob not

try lots of bug and tar remover

Bug and tar remover will get it off, but I would definately use something to get the bug and tar remover off. That stuff cant be good for anything that shines.. chrome polish would probably do good..

My suggestion is use Pinnacles bug scrubber used for tar and bug removal. You will be surprised what it can do with little effort. Try autogeek.com
