Front speakers!! 6x9?

hey guys i blew one of my front speakers in my 2003 mustang GT i have the mach 460 system and was wondering what to replace them with are they 6x9's? or what. thanks Brian

as for the 6X9 i think that is what they are. but i have heard that if you replace your speakers from the mach system it sounds bad, but i don't know i was also told that changing the hu would make it sound bad.. but if i was in the situation i would go through and just replace it with a new mach speaker, and that will be the right size soo no worrys about sizing it

6 x 8 if i am not mistaken, and yeah replacing it with just another speaker will not sound good.

6x8 is correct, I just got done doing a full speaker and amp replacement, also did a double din in dash dvd and nav unit

speaker

even if i replace both sides with something like JL audio or alpine they will sound bad?

if you hooked them up to the factory mach amp, they would the amp runs best of the speakers it has. if you want to do something like that you should look into getting some componet speakers for the front and some new speakers for the back. its because the factory amp ins't tuneable it gives bad sound out on speakers other than factory. i belive correct me if i'm wrong
