This a good deal?
I've got a GT bumper that is primed and ready to be painted. This ford dealership that I normally go to does outstanding work, but I don't know if they are more or less expensive then normal because I've always gone there. Just to get the bumper painted is %256 + tax. It's a 3 stage paint so it's a little more expensive because it's more time consuming and uses more paint and clearcoat. The passenger side fender is the same thing, primed and ready to go, and they want $192 + tax for it. This is just to paint it. They aren't on my car, and I'm putting them on.

If they paint them without being on the car it's a very good chance that the paint won't match up.They need to blend them in for it to look right.

Well I meant they aren't charging me labor for taking it off and on and shit. I'm going to slap 'em on right before I take it there.

Ooop's :)
Yes that's a decent deal then. |
I'm guessing that it could be because the bumber is plastic and the fender is metal. I know paint will lay better on metal than plastic.
Any paint guys out there? To answer this? :help: |
I didn't think laser red was a 3 stage paint but I checked and it is. That is a decent deal then. That paint is like 50.00/pint and that is with no reducers, primer, clear etc. and plastic can be a pain to prep sometimes. So, yeah, I would jump on it.

Awesome. Like I said, I've always had my paint work done there because I'm not confident enough to do a 3 stage paint, and they've always done excellent work. I never really wanted to go anywhere else and take the chance of it not matching.
