Waterspots on Glass?

My car was at the dealership lot since January so it's seen the weather. The windshield has a lot of the etched water spots. Is there anyway to remove atleast most of it? It's kind of annoying when looking at it when the sun is bright.

spray the windows down with window cleaner and try rubbing down the windows with steel wool. you wont scratch them or anything...

Try picking up some glass restorer, I know online places like autogeek.net have it. If you have a PC set it on low speed and work it into the glass. If that dosent work try clay

Use vinegar. If what you are seeing is actually water spots, the vinegar should dissolve them. Don't get on the paint.

How come that website that has a bunch of detailing instructions tells you to use vinegar on the paint to help w/ the etched water spots?

But yeah, the ones on the windshield are etched waterspots

CLR on a rag and some elbow grease.

Thanks, I'll have to try something this morning. It's bad

OK....I just was not sure if vinegar was safe for paint. It is an acid, a weak acid, bbut an acid.

Actually, if the spots were soo bad that I was going to replace the window, I would even try lime-away. That is a much stronger acid. BUT, I would no way want that shit on my paint.
