Meguiars Scratch X
1 Attachment(s)
The video by mcmmotorsports prompted me to go out and buy some Scratch X to, hopefully, repair several scratches on the hood of the car. The scratches were fairly deep... possibly keyed? Not sure. The results were great- most of the scratches are no longer visible, the ones that remain are very light.

AWESOME!! Glad I could help. Keep applying until you reach the desired results. http://www.mcmmotorsports.com/smilies/nice.gif

Thanks for the testimonial. I had my car keyed last year and thought I was going to **** a brick. I couldn't find anything that I knew was going to work outside of just getting my car painted. I'll definatly be buying some of this stuff in the near future. The passenger door has 4 scratches by the handle and the spoiler has a few scratches on it (not from the keying).

JUST DON'T FORGET MULTIPLE APPLICATIONS FOR DEEP SCRATCHES AND IT MAY OR MAY NOT COMPLETELY REMOVE THEM. Stuff is amazing though.

Holy ****! That stuff is awesome. I definatly need to get some and try it out! I guess that would be the ultimate test to see how it works on black!

I just got back from Autozone. 17 bucks for a bottle of Scratch-X, 3 pack of microfiber towels, and a 8 pack of applicator pads. A whole lot cheaper than what I was expectin' when I first saw the scratches on my car.

I tried multiple applications, but the sun was out. Might be better trying in the AM or later in evening

This stuff is the ****. I just put a couple coats on a minor set of scratches on my front bumper and they have almost completely disappeared. Someone swipped the corner of my front bumper in a parking lot and left a set of small scratches down the bumper, but I spent about a half hour and did a good 3 coats and you can't even tell there was anything there unless you're face is about 8" away from the bumper. I recommend this to anyone with similar scratches. I tried it on some chips on the hood from rocks on the road and it didn't work quite as well but I did see slight improvement. I plan on working on those rock chips a little more and hoping that they'll get better with more coats.
