Improving my Sound System without spending a mint...
 

I like the shaker 500 system. I would just like more oomph. Any suggestions?

depends you wanna keep your trunk space or are you willing to lose storage space?

one 10'' woofer and a small (350W) amp will boom your head off.

I changed all interior speakers to Boston Acoustic 5.5 rounds....sounds killer and I'm using and old Eclipse head unit. anyway...all that -the head unit was about $400.

I bought 2 10" Infinity Reference Subs w/enclosure and a 800watt kenwood amp from Crutchfield. All told with installation locally was ~$500. They used an inline converter to tie it in to the stock system. Sounds great.
