Cowl removal?

I have a couple of questions, hope someone can help. First how hard is it to remove the cowl (the area between the hood and windshield) and second is, is it ok to drive w/o it on? The reason I ask, is I plan on sending mine in to a shop to get it carbon fiber coated.

First of all, yes it is ok to drive without it. It's just for looks anyway. Secondly, lets learn how to get it off. Go here: http://www.maximummotorsports.com/

Look up installation instructions on the left column. Then look up the heading called Chassis Stiffening. Look up the directions for MMSTB-5, in particular steps #17-18. It tells you how to remove that particular panel.

I knew it was simple. I have already started drilling my holes for my strut tower brace install this weekend.

The hardest part of installing a strut tower brace is tightening up the nuts in the wheel wells, at least if you're doing it by yourself.

Thanks John, I didn't think it would be too difficult nor did I think it would "hurt" anything to drive without it, I just wanted to make sure.

Might as well hit mine with a couple coats of flat black while its off.
