Shoulda been on the GT in the first place...
|
How much did you end up paying for the hood?
|
Do a how too with pics and info where you bought everything as several members have asked about it.

I did the same thing myself, and had to fabricate a bracket for it but it turned out quite nicely
|
That really goes nice with the paint job. So, honestly, did you notice any hp gains? I've always wondered what they gave bc the mach 1 has 45 more hp than the gt and all it really has different(performance wise) is the shaker hood and 4v instead of 2, so I was always curious..
|
it may add a couple of ponies at highway speeds but nothing noticable. It's really an appearance mod.
Heck, I've got a cold air intake on there as well so it really makes no difference at all lol |

Well, they're not really a LOT faster. 45 hp lessens your 0-60 by a few tenths and same w/ the quarter mile. But an experienced gt driver could beat an inexperienced mach 1 by skill alone. Though I've never driven a mach1. Do the extra valves give the engine a different feel? I know they give hp and torque, but i was always curious.

The scoop doesn't give you any power, nothing noteworthy anyway. It is purely there for looks |

4v's are stronger performers than 2v's. |

Just my 2 cents. |
Vendor's hp numbers are always inflated. Just look at the system and it's pretty obvious that any benefits will be negligible
(by the way, I installed a mach 1 hood and didn't notice any difference) |
pics are up, and i will let everyone know if there is a notice in HP.

I don't know from experience, but that is what they told me.

Steve, I saw pics of it earlier today on your car, and it looks great. I wouldnt buy it for the added power, just the looks.
|
it will add slight power. looking at 2-3 hp but, is meant for the looks.
