its a bitch to get back in there.

im assuming you mean full replacement pieces for the tail lights.

First off, if you have a mach 1000 stereo you need to unbolt the subs from the trunk floor and from the amp rack.

next you gotta unscrew the upholstery nuts.

after that, pull the upholstery forward so you can get behind there.

Be careful behind the drivers side tail light, that is where the fuel cutoff system is, after working there it is good just to give the red buttin a little push to make sure it diddnt trip.

there are 4 nuts holding the tail light to the car, gotta figure out which ios the right socket size, it helps if you have a deep socket, because those screws stick pretty far through

undo all 4, then carefully pull out the tail light, have a clean paper towel or plastic bag handy and twist out the rubber light socket grips and lay them in the bag . But Before you do this get a sharpie or something and mark 1,2,3,4 on the back of the lights and again on the back of the tail light so you know which bulb goes where.

then inset them in the new tail light, align the new tail lights holes with the holes in the car and slide it straight in, then put the nuts back on and put the upholstery nuts back on.

thats really about it.

krazypony 10-01-2008 05:53 AM

yeah there pretty simple to install, just follow jacks directions and you should be fine

debonaire14 10-01-2008 07:14 AM

alrite thanks ill post a pic wen i install them

r3dn3ck 10-01-2008 07:45 AM

it's really actually as simple as jack described. the 4 nuts are covered by the trunk liner. Remove the nuts and then just tug and it should pop right out. Takes all of 5 minutes.

debonaire14 10-01-2008 11:41 AM

hey i tried what u said jack but the thing is that the plug that the new lights come with does not fit the car, so do yall know if i need an adapter or do i need to rewire anything?

krazypony 10-01-2008 12:40 PM

can you post a picture of what your describing so we can help you better...

HERE ARE SUM PICS FROM THE NEW TAIL LIGHTS AND THE STOCK ONES

krazypony 10-02-2008 05:49 AM

looks like a additional adaptor is required for these to tap into your stock wiring harness from those pics, I would contact AM Customer Service and ask to speak to someone if they can verify if that verified, or maybe AMNick in the AM Section could be of assistance.

debonaire14 10-02-2008 07:27 AM

i contacted AM customer service and they tell me that they don't no. what do u suggest i do?

krazypony 10-02-2008 11:10 AM

thats freaking weird, I say they need to refund some monae'...

so they wont directly plug into your current factory harness?

debonaire14 10-03-2008 12:10 PM

no they wnt directly plug into the harness. im gonna try to find a adapter to fit it. cuz i dont no nothing about rewiring

I'm not gonna lie, I thought they were going to look horrible on a mustang and laugh quietly to myself, but they don't look bad. is that a cobra wing?
edit: y do you have a Volkswagen license cover? lol

debonaire14 10-04-2008 08:26 AM

yeah the lights look badass. it is a cobra wing. and about the license plate cover thats were i bought the car, i never bothered to take it off lol.

krazypony 10-07-2008 10:47 AM

Ok how did you fix the dilemma of the wire connection problem?

debonaire14 10-07-2008 04:53 PM

LOL! THERE WAS NEVER A PROBLEM WITH THE CONNECTION. THE PLUG FROM THE LIGHTS WASN'T SUPPOSE 2 CONNECT TO MY ORIGINAL HARNESS, IT WAS SUPPOSE TO PLUG INTO WERE THE BULBS ARE!! LOL! THANKS 4 THE HELP THOUGH

Stephen4036 10-08-2008 07:08 AM

nice GT man, loving it all but those lights actually... nice rims, side scoops, love the R Wing.. but the stock lights or smoked would have been the right choice.
