nitrous filter

Can the nitrous filter be inside the car .....sorry about dumb question ...just wanna make sure..and will and companies window switch work with compucar system. thanks joe

Nitrous filter can go anywhere inline with the nitrous line. I preffer it in the engine bay near the solenoids. And of course electricity is the same regardless of who's product it goes through.

what do you think about this window switch .
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SU...art=SUM-830452
i im not very good with wiring could use some help , i know the black will go the ground and the red power will go to nitrous arming switch for power and the yellow is rpm signal , can i get a rmp signal if i tap into the ecu if i could find out what pin it is, what im confused on is the blue and purple wire ....any help would be great . sorry for all questions.

I'm not a fan of that style switch. I really like the MSD one found here, and I'm sure you can find it cheaper if you search around. But its easy to install and has really good instructions.

But if you want to give that cheaper summit one a shot go for it. It should come with directions that tell you what everything goes too. And yes on most of those its back ground, red 12 power, and yellow tach signal, and the two grays are what goes to the solenoids to complete the grounds and make them work. Or in the case of those I would bet the purple and blue are for the noids.

i am gonna get the one you said you liked, couple questions first the gray wire from window switch will go to the ground on the solenoids. and this will work with a 96 gt because i looked up directions for it http://static.summitracing.com/globa...9_frm28959.pdf
and says something about 99 and up mustangs .
just wanna make sure i know what im doing brfor i buy it .
and the output wires confuse me , im not sure what normally open or closed mean .
thanks for the help.

It should work on pretty much anything with a v8 or smaller motor. You would use setting 2 for coil packs I would assume. That or 4 as each coil pack fires off 4 cylinders.

don't bother with a zex window switch whatever you do, go with an msd learn from my mistake lol

joeboy013 09-22-2009 05:26 PM

what does normally open or normally closed mean?

spike_africa 09-23-2009 07:07 AM

I have no idea what your talking about.

joeboy013 09-23-2009 02:14 PM

on the instrutions it says use gary for normally closed and yellow for normally open.
If you really think that this will work im gonna go get it tonight i live right down the road from summit.

spike_africa 09-23-2009 09:36 PM

It works I just looked at the link you sent me again it even says to use setting two for waste spark setups and shows a Ford coil pack for 96-98 cars. Look at figure 4 on the bottom of page 3. That is the setup you have and how you would use it on your car. The diagram pretty much explains it all out for you.

joeboy013 09-26-2009 04:13 PM

i went and bought it today from summit for $116 .

spike_africa 09-28-2009 06:20 AM

Nice you will like it alot. One thing I will say is to mount it solidly where it won't vibrate much. I had problems with it resetting because of shaking to much. So no Velcroing it or anything like that.

joeboy013 09-28-2009 02:38 PM

do you know the pin it is for the ecu for a rpm signal or the wire color .

I went straight to the coil for the signal not the ECU.

joeboy013 09-29-2009 01:42 PM

is it possible to go to the ecu
