Tuning for nitrous
 

I'm thinking about buying a 100HP wet nitrous kit. Right now, I have an SCT 2 programmer with the 93 octane performance tune entered. If I install this nitrous kit, can I keep this tune and just take out some timing? How many degrees for a 100 shot? Also, how much colder should the plugs be? Thanks

Not sure about the timing on it, the spark plugs would be one step colder... NGK TR6 sparkplugs or Autolite 103S'

And I don't think just retarding the timing some on that tune will do it for you, you'll still probably run rich/lean..tunes are there to optimize the performance, but also to correct your air/fuel ratio.

i vote to go ahead and get it tuned, a lot of people just run a 100 shot no problem but IMO.. IMO here i'd say if you have not already upgrade your fuel pump to an aviator pump or another 255lph pump... just for back up.. and for safety reasons to to get the most out of a 100 shot i'd get it tuned for it :) i picked up some good hp gains just from a tune vs no tune on 100 shot

You can do one of four different things here. You can take the tune off and spray on the stock tune which is fine on a 100shot wet. Two you can get a nitrous tune sent to you and upload that tune when you spray. Or three you can get a dyno tune on the spray to really optimize it. And lastly you can just take that tune on yours and put the timing back to stock and run that setup, but I wouldn't do that one.

Like he said above for plugs you just need one step colder such as NGK TR6 plugs or Autolite 103s.
