my friend had nitrous for his 1995 camaro z28 but switched over to a s/c and he offered me his nitrous setup......i was wondering how much stuff i would need to change to make the system work with my car or if its even possible...seems like all i would need to switch is the electrical stuff but ive never used nitrous its just a thought

Depends on the kit. If its your standerd wet nozzle nitrous kit then just need to get the correct fuel rail adaptor so you can get fuel the rest is the same. The jetting for fuel would be different more then likly though. Most offer a jetting chart online you can look at.

What kit is it?

its an NX kit it has bottle warmer, purge, window switch even though i dont think that would work with a mustang but what do i know

Those aren't car specific items at all. Only thing different in those kits is the fuel rail adapter you would need and the jetting on the fuel side would be different. Otherwise its going to be the same parts. Get the kit install it run a 100shot. Its very safe at the 100hp setting you dont even need to change fuel pumps, just the spark plugs and your fine even on the stock tune. Checking the a/f is a good idea though.

DO IT!!! Just got mine in this weekend. My friend who has a 2000 Z28 used to take me by 2 whole car lengths; now i take him by 3. I'm using Zex 100 wet shot and WOW!!! when it kicks in, it kicks in. I recom. nitrous to everybody who wants a Z28 killer for a bargan price.:smokin:

youll need a fuel rail adapter, $35 from dyno tune. youll have to install it and wire it up. the window switch prolly wont work unless you use a tach adapter of somesort. or you could use the dynotune window switch. heater and purge are nice to have, opener is a mixed blessing.

well i was talking to him today and he said he would prob just give it to me for free....nice guy lol, anyways I guess Ill prob set it up just a few questions

1) I have had my car tuned before for my stage 2 VT cams, just a conservative tune...Can I run a 100 shot safe on that??? If not a 75???
I know I have to pull my plugs and regap them, does anyone know what I should gap them too?

2) He has the MSD window switch, will this work on a mustang or are they car specific?

You dont want to run nitrous on a tune setup for a n/a motor because its going to have advanced timing in it and will be a leaner a/f ratio. Needs to be retuned im afraid. The plugs need to be one heat rang colder then stock. I dont know what your running right now but something like Autolite 103's or NGK TR6's would be good they need to be gapped at around .0035-.0030"

We need to know what MSD window switch he has to tell you if it will work or not.

Then the fuel line runs from this to the back of the fuel solenoid.
