Theyre GREAT! I bought all my hardware from them and it was a great deal! Shipping was super fast and tony was willing to help with anything I had problems with. He called vortech several times about questions I had that he couldnt answer. Prices are the lowest on the internet. Would love to do business with them again if I need any more parts!

what kinda power are you making on that kit?

jeredan2003 05-22-2007 03:35 PM

mine is just 350whp right now because of a super conservative tune due to heat. Most guys see a little more even with non-intercooled. Intercooler and supporting mods should get me to the 400whp mark.

If you don't mind me asking....Where did you get the tune and how much do they usually run you?>

the prices vary from shop to shop. Youll first need either a chip or programmer to have the tune loaded onto. I found a diablosport chip on ebay for $75 but new they are like $200. I would rather be using SCT equipment, but my tuner doesnt use them. A custom programmer will run you about $400 new. So you take the price of either one of those and add on dyno time and tuning. Some shops CAN give you a "street tune" which is basically them tuning it while driving down the road but you really want a true dyno tune so youll be sure everything is safe. My tuner was expensive and they charged me $250 for dyno time and $250 for the actual tuning process with wideband O2 readings. So in total I paid about $600 for my tune. I have heard of many shops just charging $250 for dyno time and tuning though. It will most likely end up costing you about $500 for the tune. Its worth every penny though.

what do you think of the PMS tuner and is it worth it?
