1st gear is unmanageable
Well now with those 4:10's, first gear is nothing but smoke, absolutly usless, so I am going to put a momentary button in my T-handle and run the nitrous manually. It is usless in first gear so if I put a button in the T-handle like a B&M shifter has then I can use it when I choose. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Bruce Need to do some suspension work, should be ok then, nitrous and all. |
you could always start in second gear

You need sticky tires and suspension. I run 4.10's with a 150 shot .....launching at 5000 rpm my best 60" is 1.58. With the car set-up right it will hook:punk:

Listen to what Jay said. Often times suspension gets over-looked.
BUT, in the meantime, just try keeping the pedal off the floor in first and feather the clutch a tad. That will keep you from spray too early. That is just life when you have the juice and not the traction to deal with it. You can try a button and there are other means to prevent spray in 1 st gear, but in the end it will just make it harder to spray right through the other gears. |

this is what i use on my car . works great. hope it helps.
FJO Racing Products is very pleased to offer our 2-Stage Progressive Mini-Controller. The 2-STAGE PROGRESSIVE MINI-CONTROLLER combines the functions of our 2-STAGE TPS AND RPM WINDOW SWITCH and our HIGH CURRENT SOLENOID DRIVER all into one very compact module. It can progressively drive two channels, each with a 40 amp load capacity (continuous duty). The device also supports low-voltage OEM, V10 or 3 cylinder TACH signals without the need for additional adapters. It works with most OEM throttle position sensors including most drive-by-wire vehicles. All this and only the size of a spark plug box. The 2-STAGE PROGRESSIVE MINI-CONTROLLER is built for the racing environment to withstand heat, vibration, dirt and water. It is designed to operate over the temperature range from -40 to +185 degrees Fahrenheit (-40 to +85 degrees Celsius). Features 2 independent channels Programmable ramp times (0.1 - 10.0 sec) Programmable delay times (0.1 - 10.0 sec) RPM or Time based linear ramp or multi-point curve Integrated wide-open-throttle detection 1st gear lock-out User configurable for rising or falling TPS signal Supports low voltage tach signals as low as 3 volts Works with irregular tach signals such as V10 and 3cyl Easy to use graphic set-up menus using PC USB Inputs for manual enable/disable or transmission brake, throttle position, tach signal Integrated LEDs for WOT, stage 1 RPM window, stage 2 RPM window High current solenoid driver with 40 amp load capacity (continuous duty) Benefits Free updates/upgrades to software and controller firmware for the life of the product User installable firmware update using PC USB Built for the racing environment to withstand heat, vibration, dirt and water Free direct technical support |
