Obama or Mcain

I just wanted to see what you people thought about the canidates, I am pretty sure hillary clinton doesnt stand a chance, lets hope not or we gotta bury or guns. I am voting for Mcain simply because I am a republican and I agree with his views. What do you people think.

MachGT 05-09-2008 08:37 AM

better be ready to hide your guns with Obama too... He's probably more liberal then Hitlery but without the abrasive personality.

McCain is alright on several issues but his disdain for conservatives and the whole "reaching across the isle" thing ticks me off. Looks like I'll be holding my nose and voting for McCain this year.

Lazerred6 05-09-2008 10:20 AM

I will be voting for Mcain too I just don't trust Obama

I am also voting for Mcain, a lot of people dont like the war, I was on the initial wave to afghanistan, did 2 tours in Iraq and want to go back. So i believe in it

Obama

rebelyell 05-09-2008 10:03 PM

I wouldn't count Billary out just yet. Mcain is just too dam war hungry I think. Obama sounds like my plant manger, tells you what you want to hear, but don't expect it to happen. Might vote for Huckabee or better yet choose my "right to NOT vote at all". I seriously think our next pres should push hard for an end to the occupation in Iraq. We are pumping too much money into that whole debacle. If you don't think so, just look at where Our economy is heading. We aren't seeing anything in return for the billions we are pumping in. That's our tax dollars that are urgently needed to support our country. We are paying for it not only in tax deductions, but in our everyday needs. Price of everything has gone up way too much. Man, We cannot keep supporting a country that doesn't even support us.. :t:

Dave04Mustang 05-09-2008 10:16 PM

I really don't like any of them this year. Obama really won't know what to do. Being from IL he really hasn't done anything since he has been here. He just knows how to speak well otherwise nothing. Mcain is to much like Bush and we will be at war against terror forever which isn't going to end bc there are to many of those extremists in the Middle East

rebelyell 05-09-2008 10:25 PM

At least the Dems have offered to get us out Iraq. Mcain would probably want to win the winless war. And at least Hillary will have the Bill to help her figure out some things. Hell, he Was president for 2 terms. And as much as I hestitate to say this, He did an Ok job. Not stellar, but our country, as a whole, looked alot better during his term. I hope Hillary stays the course, But she is gonna need some serious good luck..

Nofire 05-09-2008 10:58 PM

I don't like either one really, McCain is way to liberal for a republican. I'm going to see how the rest of it plays out before I really decide.

JonWolbeck18 05-12-2008 08:52 AM

Everyone is entitled to their own oppinion. I have been there twice WE NEED TO BE THERE. If not for us for the betterment of these people's living there and for the future security of our country, I've had to shoot little children because there parents send them out with IED's and then once there children are dead they are considered Martyrs, I have shot at full grown adults using their 5 year old children as human shields, I have been in raids where we get in the door and their are Us contractors still bleeding from there neck where they had been beheaded from a rusty dull knife, just to watch the video left behind of full grown men screaming like little girls as they get there head cut off. IN MY OPINION we need to be there for the betterment of a country, I agree that they should have done things differently, but please believe me when I say WE NEED TO BE THERE.
Jon

JonWolbeck18 05-12-2008 08:58 AM

Also Women arent allowed out of their huts when men are around, if they do they will be shot on the spot, and a lot of times their children will be shot with them becuase the men dont want to take care of the children, and when the women come out their faces must be completely covered. I know that this does not have much to do with the US but they are still human beings. And if we pull out now mark my words we will be attacked worse than 9/11 becuase the US will have suffered defeat.

I agree that the people there need help, but what makes them more special than other countries in the region who are the same way or worse. Why are we not sending troops to those regions.

I just don't buy the whole, "they need our help" crap when there are much worse off countries than Iraq. Look at how many places in Africa that are 20 times worse than Iraq could imagine.

We were not sold on this war with the reason of helping the Iraqi people, so that is an after the fact BS reason.

I also do not believe that us being over there protects our future one bit. I do believe we are pouring money into an endless fire.

I do appreciate the troops over there doing what they are doing. I just think the leadership of this country has there thumb up their ass and are putting or troops through non-essential BS in Iraq, while blowing money at a staggering rate in the worst economic conditions the U.S. has seen in ages.

OK, back to our regularly scheduled thread programming. :D

Obama. (Although I don't like any of the candidates) I would like to give the Dems a chance this time, since the Repubs didn't run the country worth a damn for the past 8 years. Plus, I'm tired off hearing the same bullchit story from them. I think Obama might shake things up. I also don't trust Hilary as far as her dick is long.

Besides, I unlike others, am not afraid he will take away my guns. Whoever tries that can have them after the mag is empty, I am out of ammo and I attempt to throw it at them.

NoKturnaL 05-19-2008 09:00 PM

I say we just Nuke 'em. :flamed:

it's a damn shame that we can't nuke them. worked before. just isn't politically correct anymore. my hat's off to the guys & gals over there for us. if we don't fight them in their yard, they'll just come over here & fight in our yard. look at israel.
i'm going for mccain. them other 2 want to get everybody around the campfire & sing coombyya. we know damn well that won't work!

WaterDR 05-22-2008 04:54 AM

I hate the fact that the war is such a focal point in the election. Neither candidate will be able to do much of anything different from the other anyway. This si what I want to know:

1 - Who is gonna fix healthcare?

2 - Who is gonna let the oil companies start drilling HERE?

Obama has no experience to run this country and McCain has too much. I fear Obama will be assasinated (which would be HORRIBLE if it happens for this country eventhough I probably won't vote for him) and McCain just is too old. I want to see the running mates first, before I make my final decision.

BUT, I do think this election will come down to the Latino votes. The Latino were voting for Hillary, but now will probably go for McCain I am guessing. If Obama can win them over, then I think he gets the Whitehouse.

NoKturnaL 05-23-2008 10:47 PM

i think WaterDr should run for president.

NoKturnaL 05-23-2008 10:50 PM

We have to nuke em..and then America can claim that land and have the OIL supply. yep yep

nice......

if anything, I think we will see record numbers in terms of voter turnout. Too many people are engrossed in this election and want to help determine the outcome.

Cheddarbob 06-08-2008 02:31 PM

McCain
l like my guns

fnfast07 06-08-2008 03:35 PM

Whoever drops the gas prices down to the way they were has my vote. My car looks great, but thats all I can do is just LOOK at it!!!!!!

Randy Stinchcomb 06-09-2008 10:03 AM

McCain:t:

No'bama would never make it as the leader of this country, not enuff experience for one and waaaaay to much baggage:eek:

WaterDR 06-09-2008 04:28 PM

It will be interesting to see what kind of baggage begins to come out.

"Vote for me....I resigned from my Church. I was for my Church before I said I was against it."
