what do u all think about this?? good idea or bad idea...

2000 STEEDA 12-29-2004 03:00 PM

lol, the missing stereo or the yellow paint?

04GTMikey 12-29-2004 03:04 PM

I think it looks good as long as the rest of the trim pieces are also painted. I've always liked the look.

Jeremy 12-29-2004 03:26 PM

It doesn't look bad. Something that has to grow on you really.

venom 12-29-2004 04:03 PM

Yes, you have to paint the door trim as well. If you can redo the seats with yellow down the middle it would really tie everything in.

Nofire 12-29-2004 04:22 PM

It looks good to me, I've been thinking about doing the same thing in red on my car. But, I would put a radio in.

jbodell11 12-29-2004 04:51 PM

kind of seems like a ricer when you paint the inside of your car a birght color

Don't even get me started on this "rice" thing. People have been painting interiors since the 1960's, probably before you were born. Guess which automakers painted their interiors? American automakers.

i just dont really get into painting the interior of a car a bright color. seems like your trying to stand out for the wrong reason. i know a couple people with riced out hondas and have painted there interior bright yellow. just doesnt seem like a color that would look good. it wouldnt look bad if it was painted a dark color i guess.

p3s7_01 12-29-2004 05:09 PM

Well...his car is yellow so I think that's a pretty good reason to pain the interior yellow

Couldn't have said it better.

svtnos 12-29-2004 06:16 PM

well thanx but that's not what i meant lol.. all my interior peices are already yellow ( and i love it that way)... i am in fact redoing them this winter cause i'm pickey about how they look.. still gonn abe yellow.. different shade thought al lil darker.. but what i meant about the good idea bad idea was for the a/c controls if anybody noticed... guess not..lol

Ghostalker 12-29-2004 06:25 PM

woah, i saw them down there and didnt even think twice about it... it all depends.. what are you going to put up top now?

04GTMikey 12-29-2004 06:39 PM

They blend really well....almost camoflauged..LOL

StangAddict 12-29-2004 11:02 PM

i would have kept the black interior but as long as you dont overdo the yellow i will look nice

svtnos 12-30-2004 06:00 AM

idid this in plans of an indash tv.. cause as everybody knows with an indash in a mustang it covers upt eh a/c controls when the monitor flips out.. only thing is now i duno if i really want and indash... hmmmmm

the all black was driving me nuts.. of course i want a fast car,(that will be for later) but i want alot of show inside my car right now... speed isn't as important..( but it is very important)

IceMan 12-30-2004 06:49 AM

Since it's your car, I say your good to go either way. The yellow on yellow looks sporty, just don't tint your windows yellow ;) that's when the ricer comments will emerge...

gtnumber2 12-30-2004 07:34 AM

looks like you did a nice job, but i dont like the interiors painted like that. imo

svtnos 12-30-2004 09:34 AM

now i know people have different opinions and that's fine doesn't really bother me, but just out of pure curiosity why don't some people like painted interiors???? i love em.

Ghostalker 12-30-2004 09:38 AM

i like em, as long as it matches, or accents the exterior nicely. Bright Red Sparco seats in your teal civic just dont go! If i painted my interior... i would be pretty hard pressed to match the exterior 'Tourmaline' lol

svtnos 12-30-2004 09:43 AM

ahhi c.. well in all honesty i liked mine painted but it was too light.. that's why i'm redoing it.. so it will match perfectly.. or real damn close..

sbrooks 12-30-2004 10:55 AM

Its not for me I don't like it

donw35 12-30-2004 11:04 AM

My 2 cents, I don't like it either.

To flashy for me, to bright. i like it all one color or a very suttle difference like black and dark dark gray.

venom 12-30-2004 02:34 PM

Then I guess most of you dont like the new 05 as its the same and theres no rice :naka:
