You are joking right? Is so, I am really pissed about the $30 grand I pay in Federal taxes every year now more then ever.

csledd 10-30-2005 06:59 AM

holy **** $30k in taxes?? I'm glad best buy doesn't pay me **** then (not really :( )

nice looking cars! that house is pretty sweet ass too lol

40thblckgt 10-30-2005 08:46 AM

Are you implying that a portion of your taxes goes to fund my parents and what they own?

40thblckgt 10-30-2005 01:31 PM

Csledd, I used to work there. What department do you work in?

wade95 10-30-2005 01:42 PM

Very nice cars. One question tho. On the other site you said your mom is a wedding photographer. Which is it? She work for the government as a wedding photgrapher???? :p

Looks like you live in a nice area of Virginia. Great views.

40thblckgt 10-30-2005 02:21 PM

Both, she does weddings as a side job on saturdays and sometimes on sundays. But her full time job is a computer engineer contractor, usually jobs with the government...

And yeah, our house is in a place called Middleburg, a really newly developing place about 30 miles outside of D.C. We've had the property for about 10 years, but just decided to build on it about a year and a half ago.

If your parents work for the government, then we all pay their salaries. Hey, I used to be in the military full-time....taxes payed for me. It's how it works. BTW, if they are contractors that take government jobs, that is sort of a different arrangement. In most cases contractors are paid by their employers or directly by the government if they are the bid winner. It is a very different situation then getting a W-2 right from Uncle Sam.

Don't ever feel guilty for having something. Most people I know that are doing well work their arses off for what they have and are willing to take a lot of risk...risk that most of the population won't take.

I agree. Well the low down is my dad works for FINCEN (part of the Dep. of Treasury). They deal with terrorist funding now a days and money laundering. My mom is the one who is a contractor, and you're right she gets paid directly from her boss who founded the private company. Crazy though since its broken down into projects she gets paid a huge amount every 2 months, unlike most of us who get paid every other week or every week.

Wow, I love your house I think more than the cars. :D Im in awe. Anyway, your car makes me want to order those damn tires RIGHT NOW and have them mounted as soon as they get here. Only 2 more weeks....only two more weeks...AHHH lol. I love your car man, looks great, and the custom tweeter in the door handle is a nice touch on the vette. So is he getting a 06 Zo6?

40thblckgt 11-04-2005 05:13 AM

Yeah we test drove a black one this weekend, the sound of a 427 is just amazing. I mean as much as I love ford, GM has a great engineering team in order to create a pushrod 427 with over 500 horse! Its really the bang of the buck, interior is extremely nice, speed, looks for about 68,000?!? Simply awesome! Thanks for the compliments!
