Well thats all. I think it looks awesome. Only bad thing is that claybaring the car takes FOREVER...lol not really, im just impatient. Oh well, it was worth it. Whatcha think?

maddmatt-girl=time to claybar car

Dude, looks great. I claybar mine once a year. Did you by chance clay the windows to? I do mine and it pulls a lot of crap off of them.

Great job!

MattJ 08-28-2005 11:19 AM

you missed two steps. Its supposed to be wash, clay, wash, polish, then wax. You would yeild better results this way.

And you washed your car with a detergent soap, right? To remove any sort of previous wax on the vehicle...

Lances03SVT 08-28-2005 11:21 AM

Lookin real good.Matts right though a good polishing will give you even better results.

MattJ 08-28-2005 11:23 AM

Even though it looks good through the pictures. I still see halograming.
:p

Lances03SVT 08-28-2005 11:24 AM

Some chrome FR500's would look sweet on your ride for sure.

On my car or his? I love the way minerals car looks.

Lances03SVT 08-28-2005 11:34 AM

On his,I like the way yours looks too.

madmatt 08-28-2005 11:47 AM

Thanks, maybe ill do the polish thing when I feel like spending an EXTRA two hours on it...lol Yes, chrome fr500s would look great, but the bill for 4 18 inch tires and chrome fr500 wheels SUCKS. Therefore, black bullitts are already in the mail :D Does it hurt your car not to wash it after a clay bar? If so, oh well, my paints screwed already anyway.

Washing it removes any loose contaminants that the clay may have not picked up or knocked loose. You COULD scratch your paint by waxing those contaminants back in because you didnt rewash it.

Lances03SVT 08-28-2005 11:51 AM

Well the Black Bullits will look awesome.Should'nt hurt too much after your paint peels off after about a week :) JK

madmatt 08-28-2005 12:11 PM

LOL, Ill just sue mothers for not telling me to wash the car after claying it. Id have washed it had they put it in the directions.

Juicedcoupe 08-28-2005 03:09 PM

told you that paint looked slick.

Badfish 08-28-2005 05:13 PM

Ok now I only have 1 day off a week. Had to work 12 hour's a day all week. Finally got time to wash my stang at sundown. No time yet to wax and detail, But I took some night pics anyway. Until I read this post I was gonna leave her dirty. LOL Thanks for the motivation.:

venom 08-28-2005 08:08 PM

I have the Gold Class wax also and it works really well better than the NX stuff.

We use Gold Class at work. It provides great protection for the few days, but it wears away very quickly. NX, for me, provides longer lasting and better looking results.

Lances03SVT 08-28-2005 08:21 PM

I also like the NXT better than the Gold Glass.I used to use the GG but switched to the NXT about a year ago.I like to be able to apply wax to the whole car and then wipe it off.

spoman2005 08-28-2005 08:34 PM

very well done!!!

timstpetefl 08-29-2005 05:46 AM

I wash my car every other day, no need for claying...hehe

A good sticky leather shammy every other day keeps my paint glowing like all hell.

Just did mine with clay and 4coats of zaino. Started wednesday finshed sunday. Zaino needs 24 hours between coats to let wax cure

Thanks I have never owned anything I was totally 100% satisfied with as I am with this one.

timstpetefl 08-29-2005 10:08 AM

Ok, Ill give the clay a shot, but you will never convince me to use anything but Liquid Glass for a wax....hehe

madmatt 08-29-2005 11:09 AM
