Default New wheels.

Traded my saleen wheels with no tires for them and got 200 boot. Only thing that sucks is they're off of an 05 mustang, so the offset sucks a little but oh well, I cant afford tires for my saleens.

Sucks you had to get rid of the saleens. What are you spending all your money on??

And whats that V shaped looking thing in front of the driver wheel on the bumper?

Just a broke college student haha, I have to make my car more of a DD and have good all seasons on it. The sumitomos on the saleens even when they had tread was like driving on ice in the rain.

Also the V shape thing is zip ties holding my front bumper on. In richmond they have these gutters that run down thru every street to catch rain and I forgot to hit it at an angle and bottomed my front end out and it broke those little tabs on both sides.

Question!! Do you think AM's 17x10.5's would match up in the rear? These wheels are OEM 05's and I dont know if theres much of a difference between these and aftermarket.

So you can't afford tires for your Saleen wheels, but you're looking to buy new wheels for the rear? How much are you spending on tires? They aren't that expensive.

Well when I had them I didn't want to put sumitiomo's back on there because it's basically like driving a racing slick. Only other option was either Nitto's that AM sell which are more than 200 a tire, or BFG KDW2's which are also more than 200 a tire. I can buy 2 17x105. wheels and 2 315 sumitomos for around 300 a side.

315 sumitomos are also like driving on ice in the rain.

So you don't want to put sumitomos back on the saleens cause they are slick (they don't drive like a racing slick), but you'll go with a wider tire in the rear and put on sumitomos? Hmmm, not sure I'm quite understanding your logic. Tires for 18's aren't really that much more than 17's. Just depends on what you're going with. Out the door, taxes, mounting/blancing and warranty, I paid $775 for 4 235/4/18 Dunlop Direzza tires.

That's $175 more than you spending $600 on two new wheels and tires. Might want to research things a bit better.

For 235's maybe. Not 275's and 285's.

The bullitts looks good. Not as good as the Saleens, but like you said... spending money on college cuts into the mustang fund. But my advice would be to only spend money on the 6, for neccesary things (tires, oil change) and use any extra cash you have for savings, maybe for a GT. It will add up quick.

I know it's hard not to work on a current car, but if I could go back in time, I wouldn't have bought half the things I did for my red one, and would have bought the mach quicker. (although I did love modding that little 6, my first car)

College first tho.

I dont know what problems you had with your Saleens w/ Sumi.'s but I havent had any problems with mine, so maybe its the drivers and not the wheels?

From the picture they sure look alot like the bulletts from the new edges and not that off of a 05, but maybe its the angle.

I had sumitomo HTR Z II's, I don't know if its because my area has tons of hills I have to climb every day, but when it rained I just drove my S10.

Also I haven't really looked into it on the wheels, but they came with 225/50's on em, he also said they came off an 05. I was kinda pissed after I traded but now that you mentioned it, they do look pre 05.

When I had sumitomos, they weren't that bad in the rain. For normal driving in the rain, they were fine. You have a V6 with less torque and everything, you should've been fine unless you were trying to gun it everywhere.

They dont looked tucked in too bad. But the tires are all kinds of wrong 225! on a 8" rim. You should of just bought Sumi's and drove like a sane person in wet weather...Not sure if you know this but you are supposed to drive slower in wet conditions, FYI. Maybe those tight shirts restricted some blood flow to the brain for too many years for that to set in. If all else fails just park it between two big trees and hook up your turn buckles to straighten it out!

My sumis did slide on me in the rain... I was making a turn in town, but it was a pretty sharp one... and they slid, then caught traction again. I wasn't driving insane, and they weren't old then. They were 315's though...

Next set of wheels I get are gonna have Nittos on them.

I don't drive faster in the rain, I drive a lot slower because I know how it is. My main problem is going up hills and taking off. With my tuner my car shifts so hard, on top of not having traction control, with a rear end so tight it's basically positive traction. i seriously get stuck climbing some hills around here that arent very steep.

They are not going to match. The key word you just said regarding difference was "much". You put 2 of the same style wheels on on with any difference and you will notice. Sounds like a bad plan you are trying to execute.

It would fit the look of his car though with the zip ties coming through the bumper and everything.

His shirt is so ******* tight that it cuts off circulation to his tiny brain. Krenogin, you have ruined that car, just sell it and get a Geo Metro... at least that car fits your "too small" life theme.

Firstly I get why you traded the rims. I did the same thing but at least I traded up

I have sumitumos as well have 275's all the way around and have good grip. once my tires get worn Ill keep the 275's in the back and go with smaller ones up front.
