Bright side is I'm getting 18s now with 295s instead of the 17s with 285s on it now. :smokin:

ouch...sorry to hear that man. when I had my mustang I hydroplaned like 6 times..shit was rediculous

UPRDanielle 06-17-2010 09:22 AM

yea...it sucks! It's to the point where I can only go 55 in the rain, even with street tires on. I've come to the realization that if I go over 55, then I just imagine I'm just driving a boat (swaying back and forth) LOL.

With the bad, comes the good tho! Post pictures of the new rims. :)

I don't know if you noticed, but there is a big piece of your wheel gone.

lol

The wider you go the more hydroplaning! But we dont drive in the rain anyways,, unless we have to.

csledd 06-17-2010 10:37 AM

That sucks to hear :(

mustangvsix 06-17-2010 11:31 AM

that sucks to see man. Definitely something you learn, hopefully not the hard way, that big tires float a lot better on water than skinny tires do when you own a mustang and upgrade rims.

rebelyell 06-17-2010 11:34 PM

Yep, you fcked up that rim. Plus you gotta a lug nut missing. Looks like it didn't break the stud, just backed off.. Hmmm

99MustangGT 06-18-2010 03:49 AM

Ouch on the damage man, it looks like you hit that one sinkhole in guatamala.:p

usaf88 06-18-2010 10:28 PM

No, I took the lock nut off. Sears should have the tires in soon. Rims are in standby mode...

BikerSk8rKid 06-25-2010 12:12 AM

That really sucks, makes me not want to mess with it anymore.
Since a lot of our roads have like tire ditches where it's been driven on to much. If it has a puddle of water my car will hydro plain and sometimes I make it. When I don't have control of it or can't stop, I freak out, but stay calm. ahha

glad your okay.
