got some new toys for the f150!
 

besides a head unit, this is the first time I've bought anything audio related..and I have no Idea how to install or wire any of this...but I guess it's time to put up or shut up

easy. Yes, wires are needed fore the amp...you may be able to use the existing speaker wire thats already in the truck for the mids.

Just match the colors with the wiring diagram that should be there with your head unit. You probably need a harness adapter if you dont already have one. some cars need them, some dont. Most do.

you need to then hook your dashboard to a tree, then crank with your come-a-long till the dash is fully ripped out, then your wires will be exposed so you can cut them up and splice them with black TAEP!

You need a wiring connector for your head unit, The back of your head unit will have a bunch of colored wires, and you wont know what to do with them. So go to walmart or anywhere that works in audio, and get a connector. Basically that connector will fit your old radios plug that was supplied by ford, and it will convert it into wires you can use to splice in with the wires from the headunit. So nothing gets mixed up and works properly.

You can get one of those from walmart, i think its a schoche brand.

As far as speaker wire you will need some, i dont know what size your amp is, but the speakers look fairly small, so you dont need to run humongous gauge wire.

Just be prepared to spend some time, and do a quality job by using heat shrink tubing on the stereos backside connectors into the adaptor. Or by using those clamps.

I have an aftermarket H/U already So I don't think I need a harness. when i installed it i remember seeing some wires marked for the amp. I can't remember specifically what they said..

Nah, I love infinity speakers (even reference series). I hope you're planning on stuffing a sub in there somewhere, because they're probably going to produce a lot of treble and not much bass.

Speaker wire should come with your amp wiring kit. They do in most.

my amp is now mounted to the rear cab wall (behind the back seats) of my f150 and my amp wiring kit is supposed to get here today. Let's see how this goes

The wire you seen was probably blue, and its called a remote wire, basically what it does is turn the amp off when ur key and stereos off so it dont draw power while your cars turned off. It's very small, you will have to run it back to the amp.

Also you will have to run two RCA cables from your headunit back to the amp to provide the sound for it to amplify.

After thats done, all the wiring left to do is at the amp. Just run speakers as normal, run a power cable from your batteries positive terminal with an inline fuse to the amps + terminal. For the ground make sure its short as possible, and best place to ground is generally to a bolt on the seat thats connected good to the trucks frame, or else you'll hear revving sounds or the amp wont even turn on. Connect your remote and RCA cables and your all set.

If it is only a two-channel amp how do you plan on running four speakers off it? Evan it shows the 4504 set up to run four speakers but if it is only a two-channel amp then that's all you can do. You could run one sub off it, two speakers, or even one speaker, but you're not going to get more money out of the bank than is in there unless I'm missing something...
