My christmas

1 Attachment(s)
probably the LAST thing i was expecting. I had these bullitt side scoops sitting in my garage for the last 2 years. i wanted to get them painted, and kept putting them off, then i spent money elsewhere, etc. so i ended up completely forgetting about them until my mom found them in the garage in a box all by themselves a couple of months ago. She had her secretary's husband paint them for me (he owns a very upscale body shop) and she surprised me with them for christmas. i cant wait to get these on!!!

crappy cell phone pic in bad light:

sub-frame connectors should be going on the car in 2 weeks too!! cant wait for that either.

zigzagg321 12-25-2009 11:06 PM

the 99-04's should have not come with any other scoop. nice.

I'm not sure to know what those are, exactly? Is that supposed to be like just a clean cut, so there isn't that vent looking thing?
I know on mine SN95 they have vents that go thru, but the newer ones I believe they don't go thru all the way.

look at the side scoop area.

BikerSk8rKid 12-26-2009 02:10 AM

They look the same as standard?

are you retarded?

Bullitt5339 12-26-2009 07:41 AM

No, there's no scoop on them at all, they are just flat and have a little dimple at the end. Definitely a lot better than the GT scoops, much cleaner lines.

mustangvsix 12-26-2009 08:55 AM

I am jealous. If I were to ever change the scoops on the cobra, it would either be to bullitt scoops, or delete the scoop completely and have that area molded/shaved into the quarter panel (saw this done once and it looks soo clean!) I loved it.

edit:
here is a better pic of the bullitt scoop/scoop delete:
V6 scoops have a honecomp piece and protrude a bit more, GT scoops (as zig calls them are saddle bags) and come out from the body and have honeycomb inserts as well.
bullitt scoops have no honeycomb and lie nice and flat.

Gonna look clean man. You'll love the subframe connectors too!

Jacob 12-26-2009 02:59 PM

Yeah, it makes it look much better!

What does SubFram Connectors do? There is this 66 Elanor Mustang at my mechanics shop next store that has them I believe or they call it Full Frame.

PureStang 12-26-2009 03:56 PM

no mustang has a full frame. theyre all unibody. sub frame is the rear suspension and front suspension. both are connect to the chassis. sub frame connectors attach the rear suspension to the front suspension (per say) and it makes a make shift frame. the last ford to have a full frame in a car was the crown vic and related models. trucks are the only vehicles that have full frames.

They will help prevent the body flexing/twisting and stop the body sag which causes the doors to become out of alignment.
They will stop a lot of the rattles, creaks, and groans caused by the body being twisted.

Oh I looked at something different. Is it expesnive to do?

The Mustang next store, well most cars are half frames or whatever they call it. But this one was custom re-built full frame. If that make sense. They're re-doing this car completely to make it some what like the 67 GT 500 Fast Back elanor off Gone in 60 Seconds, but without the fastback and its a 66.
I'll try to get pictures, it's still being re-built.

Bullitt5339 12-26-2009 05:33 PM

Those are just subframe connectors, they look similar to what's on my car

PureStang 12-26-2009 05:51 PM

yea those are sub frame connectors. its about 140 for the connectors and another 100 for them to be installed. need to be welded in.

zigzagg321 12-26-2009 06:15 PM

I love what SFC's do to the mustang...makes it like a benz. solid.
