Silverstar headlights with Fogs.

You can really see the difference here in light output. Also has a really nice beam cut off too.

They do have some light scattering as you can see, but not bad at all.
I really love these lights. Headlights will be coming along once I have the cash.

dayum those fogs are brighter than your headlights now!

krenogin 08-17-2009 08:50 PM

wow your fogs pwn ur headlights.

whitestang04 08-17-2009 09:00 PM

Damn Dustin those look great. Is that the VVME kit?

PColav6 08-18-2009 12:19 AM

Your foglights rape mine. The OEM lens with the vertical lines really disperses the light, there is no fixed focus point all with them. lol

Wow, those headlights pale in comparison to those fogs.

After shipping and the extra cost they add on for wanting a 5k color kit its was to much money for me. I got mine from www.sharphid.com for $85 shipped to my door. Unlike the VVME kit these are slim ballast kits so they are like 1/2" thick and only 3-4" wide. Very small and easy to hide and make for a clean install.

Looked great when I saw them Saturday. Perfect temp for hid's.

Steeda21 08-18-2009 08:37 AM

You should NEVER do 55w HID's in a street car, especially without a specifically designed projector headlamp.

They look great Dustin, I still think the 6k's look better. 5k is just a little too yellow for me.

Kyanbi 08-18-2009 10:09 AM

Damn do those HID's look great! Are you using the stock lens Spike?

:dunno: You see yellow in those fogs? Would've fooled me. They look great though spike. I may have to get some now since those are pretty cheap.

No, actually his pictures have a weird green tint to them.. I have 6k in my Stratus and I put 5k in my Dad's Ram, the 5k's look like a halogen "white" which is more yellow then I like. The 6k has just a very, very slight tint of blue, with crystal white. Perfect IMHO.

The Sharp HID kits are cheap, be prepared to monkey around with them a little to get them to work right. It took me a few minutes to figure out some polarity issues, but once I got that all sorted out they have been great. Also, their Customer service skills are kinda sucky. lol

probiker427 08-18-2009 05:16 PM

wow look great man!

spike_africa 08-19-2009 06:00 AM

There is no yellow at all in my fogs. I am not a fan of blue lights so for me 5k is perfect. My kit was a simple plug and play nothing else needed wiring wise. I think your thinking of vvme which has that problem, just ask seanstang.

And whoever asked about the lenses they are the Clear non smoked ones from AM.com

Is vvme another brand or something? The kit I ordered from SharpHID for the Stratus was pretty easy, but I had to mess around with the poles on the actual connector from the kit to the OEM headlight harness. It was by no means difficult, just time consuming because it had the high beams and low beams backwards so the highs were staying on all the time.

spike_africa 08-22-2009 02:27 PM

Thats weird you have to swap the wires in the connector?
