This is kind of a poor photoshop, but you can certainly get the idea....

I'm really considering powdercoating my FR500's completely black, lip and all. Also looking at going with a lower spring setup, probably some SS springs or something like that.. Already got C/C plates just sitting here in a box, might as well use them..

I would leave them anthracite. White cars with black wheels is too common, although they would look good and less common without the polished lip. I would definitely be worrying more about springs than wheels, you already have aftermarket wheels now drop that bitch down an inch or two!

Black chrome FR 500's would be the best but black Saleens look great too. I wouldn't powdercoat the ones you have now though. I have better pics of black chrome if you want, it just isn't a white Mustang.

Dude, tint your freaking windows.

It's already dropped about an inch or so, H&R Race Springs, but the Iso's are still in, at least one on the front and I know both rear Iso's are still in.

I like the way it looks now.

If I buy wheels it won't be FR500's. They'll either be Saleen's or True forged or something along those lines...

Coming next week. 20% & front strip. I had a good excuse, my passenger side window was all messed up and I had to get it fixed so that the tint wouldn't get all fucked up.

Get darker then 20%. That is not very dark at all. I have 15% and sometimes which I got 10% instead because you can still kinda see into the car.

I've got 20% on my Stratus and it's plenty dark, especially on a white car. My tinter uses Lumar tint too which runs a little darker on the outside, but the visibility is actually higher than normal tint.

I like the idea of powdercoating them. It's definitely different and I think it'd look sick.

It certainly looks meaner with the black-out treatment. But I have to say, Im a bit partial to leaving it the way it is.

Not diggin the all black. I like having the polished lip. It breaks up things a bit. All black only fits on certain cars and colors.

u also tinted ur headlights in the PS pic. id say go black with those things if u wanna be sinister!

If you going to powder coat them, just do the centers and not the whole wheel, I think it looks goofy. And especially about the DD lip, leave that with the polished look at least!

Thanks everybody! The more I look at it, the more I tend to like it.. I'm gonna think about it for a while, but I think I'm gonna do it. I've never seen a DD wheel completely black before, it could be pretty damn cool lookin. Not to mention very different..

one of the reasons to have DD is for it to stand out when you see a car with them with the shiny lip?

I like the blacked out look I think it looks sweet. Way more aggressive.

Also go pull the iso's out and see how it looks, it's super easy and will give you a slightly better drop.

I say leave them the way they are. Car looks good as it is. Spend that money on something else. :)

i vote 18 inch black chrome whatevers

I vote just painting the inside black and keeping the lip the way it is. I think i said this before. Get chrome turn signal bulbs too.

Oh hell yeah! That is fucking sick! It will be done. Probably will do it this fall/winter when I'm not using the car. Only difference is I will probably do them matte black.

Leave them the way they are they look great as is black is just to common on white cars.

That's one of those "it's too common" on the internet things.. Around here there is only one, maybe two white cars with black rims, and I have never seen any other than the one the vsix posted that were completely blacked out. My mind is pretty much made up at this point, pretty sure that they will be solid black in the future. :cool:
