Wrecked my car.
 

And almost got arrested.

What's funny is the technical cause of the accident was my tires, and tomorrow I would have been able to buy new ones. Basically I was speeding a little, got in right hand to follow a jiggaboo who was hauling ass to pass a truck sitting at the light in the left lane, said jiggaboo slammed on his brakes in front of me, i braked hard and tried to change lanes to keep from hitting him, then did a 720 or some shit down an about 100 yard length of road and ramped the median, was only going about 15mph sideways when i got up on the median, car shutoff and cop instantly showed up, claiming that he saw it all, that i was racing and going way fast (I was going 60..65 tops). 4 other sheriffs show up, I talked with all of them and all but the fat bastard who claimed to have evidence of me racing were real nice and joked with me about what happened and my car. Got some compliments on how clean it was, cool cop took a stab at me about having 'racing slicks' and trying to be a nascar driver, asked if I was racing and I said my car's too slow to race, he said 'that's a V4 do you think it could keep up with you (while pointing as hit crown vic), then I said no that's a 4.6l V8 and yeah you could definitely keep up with me. Shot the shit with that dude as we walked around my car looking at the damage, then FHP showed up and cuffed me and put me in his car for a while, 1 asshole wanted to get me for racing and wreckless driving, but the FHP officer let me go with a careless driving ticket, but they did impound my car. I know the side skirt is destroyed, door is out of alignment, fender is pretty much fucked, and underbody is severely dented on driver's side, not sure if the frame is bent anywhere, passenger rear wheel has some bad damage to the lip. Car wouldn't start though.

As they were putting my car on the tow truck, the exhaust tip dragged into the median, and so did the rear bumper.....

Well there goes that....still haven't told my parents..gotta do that tomorrow and somehow get my car back home, hopefully I can get it to drive home and not have it towed home. And here's to hoping insurance doesn't total it.

also i prolly wouldnt start because the fuel saftey switch in the trunk gets triggered in a impact and it prolly needs to be flipped

I almost predicted that shit. Glad your ok though. Sucks about the car. You can either view it as the best time to get a Mach or the worst time. Tires are important mkk.

I agree with Mustangv6, check the inertia switch in the trunk. As for your car that sucks man. If the frame isn't bent you should be OK though.

yeah, im not gonna say "i told ya so", but you really should have got those tires, threw them on a credit card or something. driving on tires that were that low is really unsafe, as evident by what happened. also, as what was already said, that fuel pump most likely shut off. i was in an accident much tamer than that and it triggered.

I told you not to drive your car until you replace those tires.

how close were you to the truck? now i don't feel so bad slipping on snow and hitting the front of my Mazda now. :D (mustang is still undamaged)

Thanks guys..and yeah I feel horrible, worst night of sleep I've ever had. I don't think I'll be getting a mach anytime soon :( ...I can only imagine what insurance will do to me, hell I'm wondering if they'll cover me at all after seeing the condition of the tires. Right now I just want to get it fixed up and go from there....either build it or get a GT. I have to wait till tomorrow to go pick it up so I'll get plenty of pics of it and see how bad the $$ is. I just need to get it driveable again (having the door actually shut), then I'll fix it bit by bit. Anyone got some cobra sideskirts they wanna sell? lol

Um, there's a pretty nice gash in the driver's side rear wheel where the lip meets the tire. Other than that I think they are fine.

Well...more fine than the rest of the car.

No its not, a DUI is ten times worst then a wreckless driving ticket.

When i got a DUI i had spent over $4,000 in attorney and court fees and a night in jail for the judge to reduce it to wreckeless driving.

This has been a horrible weekend for mustangboards! I'm glad you're ok, pcola.

well the only other v6 that made me jealous is down!! sorry to hear bout the crap, not to mention the cops didnt help it, i swear their pricks.
