I think I need new front tires.

The Penny Test consists of placing the coin upside down in a tire’s tread grooves. If the top of Lincoln's hair is visible, it indicates that the tread has worn to less than 2/32 of an inch (1.6mm).

whats the hell is the tread ware on there???
They weren't cheap.. when I got them i think they were a little over $300 a tire. Just looked at the price and now its $240 a tire. Michelin Pilot Sport A/S plus, won't get them again ONLY because I don't need all-season tires anymore I'll just get summer tires after this pair finally dies out |

Almost too nice for a stang really. but great tires none the less. |
I'm probably going to get sumi htrz3's..the rears ar in much better shape. And I have to drive the car, try not to go out in the rain
|
1 dollar from everyone in the forum
|
WOW
|
Lol, P. :) I've been there!
Right before I got rid of my '01 Stang, my tires were horrible and I about drifted around every turn in the rain. I felt like an unintentional ricer. hehe. |
Dude, your gona die. If someone spits onto the road and you hit it, your gone.
+1 for the Sumi HTR Z IIIs though, they just don't like to get too hot, good on everything else. |
Looks to me like you need an aligment and CC plates if you don't have them already to go with the new tires.
|
Damn Kevin, you definitely need an alignment. How many miles do those tires have on them anyway?
|
My rear tires are starting to look like that. Can't wait till mine are dead so I can replace them.

mine in the front have maybe another 5000-6000 miles left....the rears....not so much. im getting goodyear tires next...i hated my sumi's....they tracked everywhere, they were loud as hell, and they werent that grippy. |
Anybody got pics of 255s on a 17x9? Does it look goofy? It'll be $255 shipped for 2 255/40/17 HTRZ-IIIs /w road hazard, or $277 shipped for 275/40/17s with road hazard. I have $214. lol
|
Damn get some new tires, check the PSI and get an algimeant, it's not that expensive.
Off topic kind of. Are Toyo Proxes 4 good? |
